Help prevent oxidation of fine wines, liqueurs, and even cooking oils and vinegar with this wine preservation system from Private Preserve. Made in the USA, every component of the Private Preserve Wine Preserver is recyclable. Rated the number one wine preserver worldwide, this system uses a unique blend of inert, non-toxic, FDA approved, tasteless, medical grade and non-volatile gases to create a blanket over the wine's surface to keep it in the perfect state. Unlike other vacuum preservation systems, the combination of argon, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen will not strip the bouquet of the wine and displace all oxygen to prevent spoiling. Simply place the extension tube in the bottle opening with the cork on top and follow the recommended doses on the can to remove all the oxygen. Once finished, quickly remove the straw and press the cork tightly in place. 1 L / 3 Short for max protection on a 750ml bottle. (Please note that a full bottle feels empty, but contains gas for 120 full uses.)

I just found out about it while trying to convince myself to buy the Coravin wine preservation system. Unfortunately I don't have the means to pop open a $60+ bottle all the time but have found a dozen or so bottles in the $20 range that are enjoyable. Even at $20 I don't want to pour the second half out because I didn't feel like having a headache all day.
This works exceptionally well.
I have a system that works for me and it all relies on this product.
I have a decanter and a clean wine glass at the ready. Pop open the bottle of wine and immediately pour a glass and then pour the remaining wine you'd like to have that evening into the decanter. Immediately spray the private preserve in the bottle and recork using a quality stopper.
Straight into the refrigerator with the wine! Remove it a few hours before you want to have a glass on another day.
I haven't tried dragging the refrigeration out past one week yet.
Nothing is as good as a fresh bottle but I have found that it still retains the bouquet and I enjoy it a great deal.
I have bought this for a few friends now and they all can't believe it.
Longest bottle lasted 2 weeks. Havent tried to go longer than that. Try to finish things up in a week.
Highly recommend the product.
Like they say, the can feels totally empty when you get it but it has plenty of uses in there. I've been using it for sake and red wines and a week after opening the bottle it doesn't taste much different than the day of (whereas I typically am a bit put off by a 24-hour old red and longer than that is just time to throw it out in my book. I'm saying I feel like I'm fairly picky about how things taste and this stuff does a great job by my measurement.)
I found this typically keeps the wine fresh for 1-2 uses but I usually drink the bottle over the course of a week. This product outperforms the vacuum sealers and every other method I have tried as well.
I used this following all the directions as posted and suggested, but I felt like the wine taste had definitely changed during the 2-4 day periods I left this in for. I almost was wondering if I was doing it wrong, but I just had to remember that even the first pour will introduce some oxygen into the bottle.
Then again, 4 stars because it works way better than my vacuum pumps.
