I bought the product and used it several times a week for about 5 weeks, just as the return window closed. I thought it was great, especially for the price when comparing it to other models that run double the price but look similar. Likewise the frame actually is quite durable, hard, sturdy, etc. All seemed well until on that 5th week I opened the tripod section as normal but to my surprise the welded/manufactured bolts that held in the 3 braces of the tripod to the main vertical section broke, all 3 at the same time. After further inspection I realized that the bottom section of the frame, the tripod/nob screw section is not supposed to go down all the way. If it does it causes too much strain on the braces/bolts of the tripod rather than the legs. The directions/warnings/etc. never said anything about this and when I looked online at the product I realized THEY FIXED THE FAULTY MANUFACTURING ISSUE AFTER I BOUGHT IT. What's the fix? Check out the photo of this product and you'll see they've added a string-pin system that was not in place before. This keeps the lower section of the tripod from doing what mine did: going to low and over a short amount of time braking the bolts on the braces that connect the legs to the vertical section.
When I did the cumbersome process of contacting their customer service, they failed to respond back to my second reply and it's been 2 weeks since I replied. They only gave me one copy-and-paste-type of email that stated I could return it, include a $15 return shipping, and MAYBE get the product replaced for "free" if it fell under warranty (after the $15 return shipping fee). I told them in my second email that it was a faulty structural design bound to break and they must have realized this or adjusted for this being that all the pictures of the product I previously bought were no longer the same: they added that string-pin system to avoid what I did naturally. Furthermore, I told them that they should do some combination of pay my shipping/waive my return shipping/ and replace the product I bought with the newer updated product that possibly fixed the issue. I bought the product for about $32. Why on earth would I pay $10-20 to ship it to them, then give them a $15 check so they can ship it back AND so they can ship back a faulty product or worse, say that the problem didn't fall under warranty! Duh duh duh dumb! Bad customer service for what was theoretically a great product with the structural fixes.
IF you buy this, make sure it comes with the new design and if you break it, forget about returning it. Save your money, cut your losses, and buy a reliable tripod. Now I will buy a tripod that is potentially double the price but for half the headache, I hope.

Works great for a quick set up table for a micro DJ system. I use with a MacBook Pro, a laptop stand, and a small DJ controller. Table top plate is the perfect size for this application 20 x 16. No concerns about the weight but know; this is not for a large, heavy controller. Height adjust to 48 inches on the one I received, even though the specs say max height 41 inches. (Appears to be a newer model) Light weight, but pretty sturdy. There is a slight lip on all 4 sides of the top table and the table appears to be made of a less slippery material that works great with the ruber feet on my equipment. These 2 features help keep everything in place. Easy to put together. Great price. No issues with the tilt. I use it flat and tension holds perfectly!By G J on October 7, 2018
