Ok, riding the bike.... I'm 6' 1" and 300# with a 30" inseam. Yep, short legs, long torso. Seat is not wide enough and the seat back has no back angle to it and is not adjustable. The seat angle is terrible and it is also not adjustable. Lot of pressure on the ol' hamstrings and these 28 inch thighs. Hopefully in time this will lessen.
Like I said, just got it, its been registered with ProForm. We will see how this thing hold up. Looks very sturdy brand new.....
Unfortunately, returning the bicycle requires being able to disassemble it and package it up for pickup. For a handicapped person that paid for assembly, this can be difficult. The packaging was taken by the assembly company hired through Amazon and I could find no contractor who could disassemble it and repackage it. So I am now stuck with a $600 bicycle that I can't use. Not a banner day for either Amazon or Proform.
The lower body of the bike comes pre-assembled and you don't have much to do there except bolt other parts to it. But while in use the peddles lost all tension and it was clear that the belt had slipped off the flywheel. However, after removing all the covers and inspecting the belt and flywheel assembly it became clear that not only did the belt slip off, the entire flywheel assembly was not aligned to the peddle assembly and several parts inside the unit were bent.
I followed the instructions and used the ProForm website to open a case. Both sttempts to open a case on-line resulted in no action or contact and after a week of silence, I called the phone number. Finally talked to a person who sent replacement parts out which arrived in 4-5 days. Now, here's where things get interesting. If you find yourself in this situation - SEND IT BACK. Me, I'm a former auto mechanic who has built race cars and dragsters - so I pushed on and worked to realign and replace all the bent an broken components.
I now have a working bike. It works great and if it wasn't for the problems, I would tell you it has nicer features and better quality than it's closest competitors cuase I've tested them out in stores. I just got the unit built on a Friday, at the end of the month right before a holiday... (just kidding in a frustrated kind of way).
So I can see where this could be a good buy, just wasn't my experience. Oh and the fan is noisy, but that seems irrelevant at this point.

Nice bike but, the 175mm long bike cranks were to long for my short legs. It made riding uncomfortable.Read more
