Cheaply made, used once already broken

I used this sandwich maker to make a sandwich today for the first time after ordering it. A few minutes after closing the sandwich maker I heard a loud pop and the closure flew off. It is only a very flimsy spring held together by a plastic clip (See attached photo). I'm extremely disappointed in the poor workmanship of this product. I planned on returning it to the manufacturer however I'm responsible for shipping charges to return it and to receive a replacement. That is outrageous. What a waste of $15. Save your money and buy something else.

Terrible terrible terrible. I have this for only five months and it has already broken. The locking latch on the front is weak plastic held on by tiny plastic nubs. Very poorly made. DON'T BUY!!

worked fine for one month. Then the locking mechanism broke. Very flimsy. Otherwise worked fine till it broke. Called customer service and they said they will ship a replacement but charge me 11.49 dollars. That's not good when the product is 20 dollars. I would not buy again and recommend you to look elsewhere.
