Proctor Silex 22 Quart Roaster Oven (32230A)
Free up valuable oven space and cook your holiday meal in less time. Roaster ovens cook turkeys faster than conventional ovens; a 14- to 18-pound unstuffed turkey will cook in about 2 1⁄2 hours. Not just for roasting, this versatile countertop oven can bake a cake, steam vegetables, cook stews, and keep foods warm on a buffet. Adjustable temperature control from 150 to 450 degrees F gives you many options. Foods stay moist and tender while roasting and the removable rack has handles to easily remove large items after cooking. Bake your favorite cakes, pies, breads, or casseroles like in a conventional oven. This Roaster Oven fits a 9” by 13” pan, two 9” by 5” loaf pans or a Bundt pan. Conveniently serve a large crowd with a soup, stew, or chili that cooks in the Roaster Oven and can be taken right to the table for serving. The attractive stainless steel design looks great on a counter or buffet table. Cleanup is easy — the removable insert pan lid and rack can be washed in hot, soapy water.
Not just for turkey
The insert pan can be used as a large cooking vessel when cooking or heating large quantities. It may be used to simmer sauces, soups, or stews, or simply to heat or warm large quantities. When cooking or heating in the Roaster Oven, stir occasionally for quick, even heating. Soup can be warmed from refrigerated temperature to serving temperature in about two hours. To cook soup, stew or sauce, set the temperature control on 225oF and allow 4 to 8 hours to simmer, depending on the recipe.

Steam for a crowd
Prepare steamed shrimp or vegetables without boiling huge pots of water on the stove. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F, and place rack in the insert pan. Pour one quart of boiling water into the insert pan. Place the food to be steamed in a metal colander and set into insert pan. Cover and steam until desired doneness.
Conventional oven convenience right on the counter
Bake your favorite cakes, pies, breads, or casseroles like in a conventional oven. Pans and dishes should be placed on the rack for best heat circulation. Using the rack is also recommended for convenience in removing hot dishes and pans. Do not remove the lid unless necessary as removing the lid allows heat to escape. This versatile countertop oven fits one 9” by 13” baking or 10” by 14” roasting pan, two 9” by 5” loaf pans, or one tube/Bundt pan.
Optional accessories for buffet service
Buffet pans and a buffet lid are available accessories. The enamel-coated buffet pan has three 2-quart serving sections and is dishwasher safe. Have easy access to food when basting or serving with a buffet lid.
Warm food and rolls without turning on the oven
Everyone likes hot rolls at the dinner table. Keep rolls, biscuits, or even pancakes warm for up to one hour. Just preheat the Roaster Oven to 250 degrees F and fill two small ovenproof containers 2/3 full with water and place in opposite corners of the insert pan. Stack up the food and cover.
