Very dissapointed with this purchase. My last handheld mixer lasted more than 20 years and I had to replace it when the beaters fell apart. This one's motor went out the second time I used it. Spend a few more dollars and buy a quality product.

This worked well for a few months and then it died...It seemed like a good product, but only at first. I would recommend spending a bit more to get better quality. Disappointing at best.

This is a light, easy to use hand mixer that even rests on the side of the bowl should it be too heavy to hold, but it's not. I got it because I like the weight and the nicely designed controls, and I use it for things like whipping egg whites, cream, etc. I don't want to drag my big mixer out for.

I use my Mixmaster for larger jobs, and mix cookie dough, brownies or bread dough with a spoon. If you want a hand mixer to do the job of a stand mixer, though, get a heavy duty one. If you want it to knead dough or do heavy cookie dough, get one of those $300 stand mixers lol!

Wanted a hand mixer that had the same beaters as my old one that wasn't working anymore. Couldn't find one in stores so I opted to buy the kitchenaid brand thinking that was the best. Boy was I surprised. It was heavy and didn't blend things well. I don't like the new shape of the beaters they have come out with. It doesn't seem to get lumps out of cake mixes and other recipes. Clean up is easier on the beaters but not worth a lumpy cake batter. I started looking on the internet and found this one. I love it. It is light weight and powerful. Just like the one I used to have but even lighter. I bought the other one they have on amazon too. The 62515 5 speed protor silex model because I couldn't tell what the difference was on the amazon site so I bought both to make sure I had at least one I liked. The pictures looked the same but one was at a cheaper price. That one is even lighter and does the job but not sure if it has enough power to stand up to big jobs. I think it works well but if you plan on baking alot and using the mixer constantly in one session I think the other one is the better option. I'm keeping both because I have a disease that causes pain when I pick up heavy things so days I am in more pain I will use the lighter one. Hope this review helps.

This thing BROKE after I had it a month and used it **maybe** 4 times. The motor gave out. It just quit spinning. It was 2 days before Thanksgiving and I had to run over to my mom's house to borrow her 1975 GE hand mixer that she got as a wedding present over 30 years ago. It mixed what this mixer couldn't and its STILL working today.
They sure don't make em like they used to!

I should have listened to the previous reviews. I received my mixer and started making chocolate chip cookies with it. I did note that the slowest speed is a little fast for working with powdery ingredients like flour, etc. Other than that, nothing seemed amiss.

However, as I reached the end of the recipe, the mixer started making grinding noises and smoking. I let it sit for about 10 minutes unplugged. I plugged it back in and tried to use it again but it is dead. After one recipe. It now has a burnt electronics smell to it.

I can only imagine that this mixer is good for certain cake mixes and muffin mixes. Do not try to mix anything even moderately tough or you will kill this mixer.

I've been used it for a year and a half. It is still very robust and never has any problem. Although I can't say it's better than any other hand mixer as this is the only one I've used, but overall I'm pretty content about it.
