Product Description

This is a powerful masticating type juicer that crushes wheatgrass, leafy greens, fruits and vegetables. The Healthy Juicer Electric has no problem with hard vegetables such as carrots. Since there is no heat generated due to the low 76 RPM auger rotation, all of the enzymes are preserved for a fresh and 'live' tasting juice. The affordable price allows everyone to enjoy the incredible health benefits of juicing. More importantly the machine is made of quality parts which will last a lifetime. This is represented by its 50-Year Warranty on its motor and 1-Year Warranty on parts. This machine has so many different functions than just a juicer! Make pasta, nut butters, healthy baby food, frozen desserts and soy milk makes this machine an incredible value. Includes two specially designed augers, one for wheatgrass/leafy greens and one for fruits and vegetables. No heat is generated so all the vitamins & enzymes are preserved! Another advantage with the Healthy Juicer Electric is there is no internal screen to clean or get clogged! A quick 20-Second Cleanup means less time cleaning, and more time drinking! You also have the option to have your juice with or without the aditional fiber that the pulp provides. If you like pulpy juice, just leave the screen off! We recently received our juicer and are dissatisfied with our purchase. We felt compelled to write a review as we had also read the reviews here as part of our decision to buy this Lexen juicer. While this juicer is easy to clean, our complaint is the juicer produces a significantly low yield. In all fairness here is a quote from the juicer manual as to the expected procedure for getting the best yeild from the juicer:

"Step 5 - Take the pulp from the first pressing and place it back into the juicing Chamber as the first pressing is usually a bit moist until the pressure has been built up in the mechanism. If at any time the grass becomes wrapped around the auger or stuck in the juicing body. Press the off button and then use the reverse button to unclog, then press the on button again to resume juicing."

We experienced low yield with not just wheat grass but in juicing carrot, celery and spinach. We've resolved to using our other juicer because the yield is significantly greater.

If you intend on returning this juicer, you can find the return policy on the [...] site:

"Q. Can I return the juicer if I do not like it?

A. You may return the juicer if it has not been used. A 10% restocking fee will apply. Postage will not be refunded. "

In other words, after we found that the yield was not worth the money in food product or time in producing the same yield as our other juicer, we are not able to return this product.

Caveat Emptor

I've tried some other juicers like the Juiceman and wasn't very happy with it. I needed to juice wheatgrass but also wanted to juice fruits and veggies but had a limited budget. I hadn't heard of Lexen before and found out it was fairly new - but I went out on a limb and tried it out.

Overall - I must say I love it. The cleanup is a breeze and my friend has a Samson so we compared cleanup (had a juicer war!). I definatley won that one. We did a comparison on the yield too and hers won slightly but not much.

What I like about this vs my old juiceman (and even from what I read the other juicers of this type in the market) is that it doesnt have a screen inside to clean which is pretty much why I won the cleaning contest ;-)

Havn't had a problem yet - and THANKS!!

This juicer is easy to assemble and to clean but the yield is very poor compare to other juicers like samson or omega, the pulp comes very wet, so you will basically will get less juice from your veggies... that will be more expensive at the end than buying a more pricy juicer. It is ok with leafy veggies, not so good with weath grass but terrible with carrots, you will get almost nothing out of a carrot and mine stoped working after it got chocked with a carrot. There are better products in the market...

Trying to save money and live healthy by juicing, I bought this Lexen Electric Healthy Juicer from the internet. The first one that was shipped to me, had problem starting. After calling the support, I was told to check the fuse. But the fuse was OK. So the support sent me a replacement. The replacement also had problem starting. I figured the contact between the fuse and the contact point inside the juicer, was not good. Hence I jammed a small ball of aluminium foil into the fuse hole to ensure tight fit contact circuit through the fuse. It worked. The juicer can be switched on reliably. I used it to juice wheatgrass and it often got jammed and needed to hit on the reverse button to reverse the augur to unjam the juicer. But after the fourth juicing session, the reverse action of the juicer gave up on me. Now I just print out online coupon whenever I can find it, and go to Jamba Juice store to get my healthy drink.

My manual Hurricane juicer gets a better yield than the lexen. I bought this juicer due to budget concerns, but I should have just saved my money. I juiced a 10x20 tray this am and had 1 1/2 oz of juice! I juiced 3 bunches with my manual and had 3/4 oz! Do your research!

After reading extensively about the 'differences' between a masticating juicer like this and a centrifugal juicer like a Jack Lallane Power Juicer, I bought this product. I was very disappointed in its juice output, as well as the time it took to prep the food and extract the juice. Nowhere in the instruction guide does it indicate how long this takes to get even a little juice (which is all I got - a little juice. It simply did not do what it claims it could do regarding output.) And nowhere in the ads does it indicate how much prep time is needed to slice everything down to the size needed to insert it into the juicer. Relatively speaking, this is a very time consuming product to use. They claim that the slow crushing motion of this type of juicer yields more and 'better' juice, because the centrifugal juicer uses high speed and therefore generates higher heat which somehow degrades or damages some of the nutrients in the juice. I don't buy it. They also claim their juice can be stored in the fridge for 2-3 days, whereas the other juicer's juice must be drank within a few hours. That may be true, but it is really a non-important feature. Everyone I know who juices (including me), drinks the juice right away, or within a few hours anyway. Being able to store it for a couple days is a pretty useless feature, IMO. A centrifugal juicer is much faster, much more convenient and easy to use, and just as easy to clean up as this style is. It's also a lot cheaper. I returned this and got a JL Power Juicer. Very, very happy with that product, and saved some money, too.
