Works On All Types Of Floors!
Clean any hard flooring surface deeper, more quickly, & with no hassle. Microfiber Mops work great on a variety of floors because of the millions of positively charged fibers working together to clean & attract negatively charged dust. This means more surface area to hold debris & absorb liquids while mopping. It also means Microfiber is a healthier cleaning alternative, since you can effectively clean your floors with just water or less chemicals, due to microfiber's cleaning power.

And then it broke in half the last time I was mopping. I am literally too much man for that mop. I had to put it back together with duct tape just to finish the job.
So my wife added “Mop” to her Christmas wishlist, because she’s entirely too practical. And she did a ton of research and settled on The Mop that was The One For Us. “It’s reusable. It’s big. It’s supposed to be great,” she told me.
“This is a mop, right?” I asked. But I am nothing if not dutiful when it comes to following lists. So I ordered the mop. I didn’t wrap it, though, because that thing was a beast, and there’s no way to wrap a mop in any way that doesn’t end up screaming “I AM A MOP” while it’s sitting under the Christmas tree. So I left it in the box, stuck a bow on it, and called it good.
My wife used the mop. She said it was wonderful. She laughed. She cried. It was better than Cats.
I thought that was a bit of an extreme reaction, for a mop. Then I made a chores chart to get my family doing more chores (but which, upon reflection, might have been a ploy by my wife to get me to do more chores), and last week I had to mop again. This mop is like a grown up Swiffer. You get the microfiber pad, get it wet with plain water, wring it out, and then stick it on the end of the mop. Then you use it until it’s too dry to mop anymore, at which point you go back to step one and repeat.
Friends, this mop is awesome. It’s wide, so you get your mopping done wicked fast. It’s tough, so you can scrub through stains like a pro, and it has a handle that’s actually made for people of all sizes. My back didn’t even hurt. Plus, if ninjas ever invade our house again, I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to use this mop to battle off at least three or four of them while my wife takes out the rest with that steam mop thing.
In other words, if you’re looking for a mopping solution, you’ve come to the right place.
You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. It’s better than Cats.
UPDATE: March 2015
I bought it again! This one is "industrial strength." It just doesn't compare with other mops, as illustrated in the attached photo of a side-by-side comparison with the Swiffer mop.
I use the wet mop pads much more than the dusting pad (I tend to vacuum rather than dust--although I find that the dust pads get under furniture that the vacuum cleaner doesn't reach), and they're wonderful. I wet one, put it on the mop base, spray it with an appropriate hardwood floor cleaner (not essential, but it makes the mop glide better and the floor look better), and let it just about glide itself across the floor. When the pad gets dryish or dirty (usually both at about the same time), I rip it off and put on the next one. The pads wash well in the washing machine, and I lay them flat to dry. Occasionally, I've forgotten and put them in the dryer, which hasn't seemed to hurt them. (I think they're supposed to be less absorbent when they're machine-dried.)
My only complaint about the 18" mop is that the instructions aren't terrific. They say to put the handle into the frame and tighten the compression ring. What they don't say is that there are really two compression rings--one for attaching the handle and the other for allowing it to be extended. Although there is information about extending the handle much later in the instructions, it says the compression ring for that purpose is in the middle of the handle. On my mop it was near the bottom, where the other compression ring was. Confusing.
One recommendation: Buy extra wet mop pads. First, it's amazing how much dirt they pick up. And second, they tend to dry out quickly as you mop. Rather than re-wet a dirty pad, I change it.
