I absolutley devoured this book in 4 hours. I didnt go to bed till 2am because I simple COULD NOT NOTTT put it down.
I really enjoyed the first installment "The Price of a Kiss" and my reason to click on this book. But nothing prepared me for how FABULOUS this book was going to be. OMG. One word. Noel. OKay..he is just..pure HOTNESS.It starts with Mr. Quarterback football star Noel l upset over a bad grade that his English Professor Dr. Aspen Kavanagh gave him.
Dr. Aspen Kavanagh is problaby one of my fave heroines. LOVED HER! I don't want to tell you too much, but know that the age difference is not very much. Their attraction to one another is OFF THE CHARTS HOTTT!! and those love scenes..OMG I will not look at a storage closet the same.
There is SO MUCH MORE to this story, Yes they make an amazing hot couple but you will read about Noel and his love and stuggles with his family and vice versa. I thoroughly enjoyed the supporting characters, his friends were super funny and of course loved that readers got to catch up with Mason from "A Price of a kiss." I cant CANTTTT WAIT for next installment..OMGG I am stalking until it comes out...!!
THIS IS A MUST MUSTTTT READ. Beautiful and hot love story filled with everything and more!! CLICK!!!!!
Thank You Ms.Cage ❤️
Aspen.... I didn't really care for. In my opinion, I don't think she was as bad as some of the other reviews made her out to be but she is definitely not one of my favorite heroines. She was very wishy washy and no matter how young she was I don't like the idea of her going out with a student or **spoiler alert** messing around with one in a janitors closet! There are a lot of other things she did that I don't agree with but I don't want to give away the entire story! However, I did feel bad for her awful childhood and the terrible way her parents treated her. I would have liked to have more closure with her parents, I don't like the way things were left with them, more was needed. But, Aspen fit very nicely with Noel - they had amazing chemistry! And it was very obvious how much she truly loved and cared for him.
Noel, Noel, Noel. How I love thee; let me count the ways. Noel was sweet, caring, adorable, sexy, a true alpha at times and a total family man when it came to his siblings... Basically, Noel was a perfect guy all wrapped in one package. All he needs is a bow!
I loved the ending - I'm such a sucker for a happily ever after and each book in this series leaves me with such a smile on my face! And it was so awesome to see Mason and Reese again! I loved them. Oh and Sarah, of course! I loved a lot of the new characters introduced in this one as well - I can't wait to see what happens to all of them.
I love this series, so much. Thank you so much to Linda Kage for creating this amazing series and weaving such great tales for each couple!

When I realised it was a Teacher/Pupil romance, I expected Dr Kavanagh, the Professor to be older but Aspen is in fact only 23 and the hero Noel is 21. I would say the heroes in this series are not bad boys or alpha males but there is no doubt they are wonderful men who when they fall in love, they fall hard.
Both Noel and Aspen had horrible childhoods. Noel's mother is useless so he has to take care of his 3 siblings who live back home in the Trailer Park where he is from. He has won a football scholarship and works most nights in a club to be able to send home money to his brothers and sister. Aspen's childhood was lacking in love. Her parents showed her no affection.
The story starts with Aspen giving Noel a 'D' in his latest essay. When she is told by the head of her department that she should be giving him good grades Aspen is appalled as that is not how she teaches. Noel has an opinion of Aspen and she has a worse one of him but once Noel puts his heart into his latest essay these two connect. I loved it when Aspen was drunk and all her thoughts on Noel came out! There is much more sex in this book than the last one. It is easy to feel the sexual tension and the eventual love these two have for one another but of course theirs is a forbidden love. As his teacher, Aspen should not be in a relationship with Noel and as the star football player, he would be thrown off the team if he was caught dating his teacher but they just can't seem to stay away from one another. This of course leads to some tough decisions along the way and some heartache but nothing too angst ridden.
Mason and Reese (and Eva) from book one feature again in this story and we are introduced to Noel's friends, one of whom Pick will feature in the next book with Eva so I can't wait for that one. This was a really good read. I enjoyed all the literature references and I loved how the author wrote a book quote at the beginning of each chapter and especially enjoyed the last book quote at the end of the epilogue.
I think I've found a new favourite author!
So far it's 2 out of 2 with this series. Let's see if I like Pick and Eva's story as much (though I'm pretty sure I will after those few scenes of them together in this one. So cute!)
Great job! 5 stars all the way! Now please hurry up with Pick and Evas' story thanks :)
