NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER!

Washington insiders operate by a proven credo: When a Peter Schweizer book drops, duck and brace for impact.

For over a decade, the work of six-time New York Times bestselling investigative reporter Peter Schweizer has sent shockwaves through the political universe.

Clinton Cash revealed the Clintons’ international money flow, exposed global corruption, and sparked an FBI investigation. Secret Empires exposed bipartisan corruption and launched congressional investigations. And Throw Them All Out and Extortion prompted passage of the STOCK Act. Indeed, Schweizer’s “follow the money” bombshell revelations have been featured on the front pages of the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, and regularly appear on national news programs, including 60 Minutes.

Now Schweizer and his team of seasoned investigators turn their focus to the nation’s top progressives—politicians who strive to acquire more government power to achieve their political ends.

Can they be trusted with more power?

In Profiles in Corruption, Schweizer offers a deep-dive investigation into the private finances, and secrets deals of some of America’s top political leaders. And, as usual, he doesn’t disappoint, with never-before-reported revelations that uncover corruption and abuse of power—all backed up by a mountain of corporate documents and legal filings from around the globe. Learn about how they are making sweetheart deals, generating side income, bending the law to their own benefits, using legislation to advance their own interests, and much more.

Profiles in Corruption contains tomorrow’s headlines.

Investigative journalist and author Peter Schweizer's most recent book, the #1 New York Times bestselling "BLOOD MONEY: How the Powerful Turn a Blind Eye to China Killing Americans," will shock Americans with the extent of China's hidden war on America. His books have appeared on the New York Times bestseller list eight times, including for "Red Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win," as well as "Profiles in Corruption," "Secret Empires," and "Clinton Cash," all bestsellers.

Peter founded the Government Accountability Institute (GAI) in 2012, Previously, he was a consultant to the Office of Presidential Speechwriting in the White House for President George W. Bush. He has also served as a member of the Ultraterrorism Study Group at the U.S. government’s Sandia National Laboratory and is a former consultant to NBC News. His books have been translated into eleven languages and he is a frequent guest commentator on television networks, radio talk shows, and podcasts. He is also the host of GAI’s own weekly podcast, The Drill Down, which relentlessly exposes cronyism and corruption in Washington.

Peter is also the author of the book Extortion: How Politicians Extract Your Money, Buy Votes, and Line Their Own Pockets. Both Extortion and the preceding book, Throw Them All Out, were featured in segments on CBS’s 60 Minutes program.

His other nonfiction books include Reagan’s War (Doubleday, 2002), which the Washington Post praised as “a fascinating, well-written, useful and important look at one of the three or four most important American political leaders of the 20th century. No serious assessment of the 40th president of the United States can ignore the central importance of anti-communism in his career; after Schweizer none will.” The Los Angeles Times called it “A rousing and compelling case that Reagan’s personal and political odyssey…was central to bringing down the ‘evil empire.” He is also the co-author of The Bushes: Portrait of a Dynasty (Doubleday, 2004), which the New York Times called “Fascinating…Provides illuminating insights into the internal dynamics of the Bush family dynasty.” The New York Post declared “If you want to know as fully as can be told the story of how the Bushes rose from Midwestern obscurity to equal the records of families like the Roosevelts, the Kennedys, and the Adamses — this is the book.”

Other nonfiction works include Architects of Ruin (Harper, 2009) Victory (Atlantic Monthly Press, 1994) , Do As I Say (Not As I Do) (Doubleday, 2005), and Makers and Takers (Doubleday, 2008).

His academic books include Landmark Speeches of the American Conservative Movement (Texas A&M University Press, 2006) The Reagan Presidency: Assessing the Man and His Legacy (Rowman and Littlefield, 2005), and The Fall Of The Wall: Reassessing the Causes and Consequences of the End of the Cold War (Hoover Institution Press, 2000). He was also a contributor to Living in the Eighties (Oxford University Press, 2008)

His articles have appeared in Foreign Affairs, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, National Review, and elsewhere. He has appeared on numerous radio and television programs.

Analysis of Content
I've read chapters 1 through 3.Attached is a breakdown of what percentage of the content is devoted to each chapter and part of the book. It was surprising to see that the notes take up most of the book by a significant percentage.Yep, Kamala and Biden are pretty corrupt.Look, here's the deal (as Biden would say), I think Trump is as corrupt as Biden given that his family is openly ingrained in his administration. However, the left passionately points to Trump's nepotism while giving Biden a pass. That irks me.That said, as far as we know, Trump and his organization is not embedded with the Chinese (although, they might be). Also, this book only explores progressive Democrats. What the American people need is a full accounting of every member of our federal government and what business connections their families have.Transparency is the key. Also, if Trump is ever compelled to release his tax returns, every member of Congress should have to reveal their tax returns as well. What's good for the goose is good for the gander, right?Once I finish reading the book, I may update this analysis/review.

Schweitzer's book is a well researched and documented expose on the corruption of Democrats in DC. Are only Democrats corrupt? No, but you have billion dollar MSM already hounding nearly every Republican, trying to discover corruption while carrying water for the Democrats. Has it ever occurred to anyone why someone would spend on average $10.4 million dollars to run for the U.S. Senate, a job that pays $174,000 a year? (or $1,044,000 over the 6 year term). Either people running for the Senate are stupid or their is more to the story than the salary. This book exposes exactly why someone would fight so hard for a job that pays relatively little on the surface. Sweetheart deals for friends and family paid for with our tax dollars. Legislation specifically targeted to help an ally. No show jobs for family that pay ridiculously above scale wages (hello Hunter Biden). If you are not middle of the road or conservative, you probably are not going to like this book, because it only picks on Democrats. I think most of all of us are intelligent to figure out that Republicans are doing the same thing. Included in the title of this book is: Abuse of Power by America's PROGRESSIVE Elite. This is an expose of the corruption and hypocrisy of the politicians who present themselves as "looking out for the little guy." This book is not meant to be an evenhanded expose of corruption in DC. Say what you want about the author's bias, but this book is backed up with references from The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, and dozens of other left leaning sources. I though the book was an interesting read. I passed it along to a friend, and he is going to pass it along to a co-worker when he is done with it. You should note that almost all of the one star reviews are not from verified purchases of this book. I bought this book, read this book and have done my best to honestly review it for you. I hope this helps.

I have now read a handful of Peters books and they are all amazing. I like to look at these books from the perspective of the patterns of corruption and not from the individuals doing the corrupt things. I think one can derive a deeper awareness of psychology, economics and wisdom from letting go any animosity, anger and victimhood...any pride seeking, and instead see these power hungry politicians as simply mentally ill and spiritual retarded humans evolving; and US...US, allowing them to create all this drama and feeding the flames of the fire with self righteousness, which is the same phony heroic seductive bait that many of my generation (millennial's) bite and don't see the hook....which the PC culture cunning puts there to use them.

Understanding the ways in which these people use the main stream media to proclaim themselves heroic leaders and then digging up the dirt simply shows me that if it was not them...some other mentally ill human would seek out that position of power and that the way to stop all this is...get your kids out of school. Get the kids away from the unionized, socialist, statistically unintelligent teachers who are religious with their status quo pagan government worship and getting worse by the day. It took me a while to uncondition myself and find all these goodies, like Thomas Sowell and Dinesh D'Souza...big up to the Corbett Report!

This way of life needs us to raise out kids and not make excuses, because it has now been 3 generations of compulsory schooling and many of the older generations can't follow along if they simply watch FOX....if there is any chance in the globalists not making this return to God...this living dream, a living hell....WE need to broach these subjects with the utmost dignity and not a divided mind, proud machismo know it all way. I think conspiracy theory will be as cool as crypto will...and soon, while the naysayers who don't bother to read at all utter words that are said to convey that they did their due diligence and in reality are like awkward elevator conversation...nothing is being said.

I would like to see Peter tear into the Republicans more though...because I'm more conservative than what the republicans claim to be and see them mostly as half hearted and flip floppers...who miss the heart of the matter and rely upon some template to convey what side they stand on...when it is deeper than sides.

I have not found a better author that knocks these people off their pedestals. I highly recommend anyone who wants to peacefully discuss how we avoid race wars, economic atrocities and regulation that will kill billions to read about the shadows that lurk in the back of the minds of our .....'leaders' and meditate upon the way to offer it to conditioned kids who think its hip to support Marxism...when they don't know what Marxism is.

If you haven't had the pleasure of reading Schweizer's previous books, you're in for a treat.

Schweizer is an excellent researcher and you can be certain he has done his homework. In SECRET EMPIRES he went after the PLAGUE OF CORRUPTION on both sides of the political aisle, including Senator Mitch McConnell and his wife's ties to the Chinese government.

In PROFILES IN CORRUPTION, Schweizer goes after the Biden 5, using extensive documentation to reveal the network of corrupt tributaries which feed the Washington DC swamp. He also attacks Senator Elizabeth Warren's work on bankruptcy laws, then advising the same corporate clients impacted by those laws. Also put under scrutiny is Senator Amy Klobuchar's interesting habit of taking big money from donors, then introducing laws to benefit those same donors a few days later.

Schweizer's writing reminds one of a fantastic criminal prosecutor, laying down a fast-paced and bullet-proof case for crimes on a scale which will be shocking to the average man or woman who tries to live a moral life. The biggest criminals are those who claim to be better than us.

All Americans should give thanks to Peter Schweizer for the type of journalism that used to be done by our TV and print journalists before they were decimated by the internet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exposing the hypocrisy of those political figures who seek greater power.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 24, 2020
Any analysis of powerful figures that concludes they are not what they pretend to be demands courage from the writer, such is the case here where Peter Schweizer assesses some of the leading progressive political leaders in the US. All of those scrutinised in this thoroughly researched volume are either already standing, or intend to stand, for the position of President of the United States. What is also quite clear is that none of them are remotely worthy of that Office. In each case it is obvious that despite what they claim, all have used, or are using their elected office to enrich themselves, their families and cronies. America does not need people like that running the country, it needs individuals like Donald J Trump, or those like him. Having spectated from afar on events since Mr Trump was elected, you can see, at least in part, why there is so much antipathy towards him, he is a danger to a political class, many of whom are more intent on personal gain than they are serving the American people.

Peter tells us the visible truth about corrupt American politicians but who then is controlling the world?
Who has a plan he can make happen?

Is it Biden, Obama, the democrats, America, the federal reserve, the bankers, the big pharma, Gates, the WHO, the Bilderbergers, the world economic forum, the vatican, the CFR, the trilateral commission, the club of Rome, the committee of 300, the royal institute of international affairs, the freemasons, skull and bones, the Rhodes scholars, China, Iran , Russia, the UN?
Wicked Man destroys his wicked world while God lets him. Man is a proud hypocrite that has always rejected God and has a hard heart. Jesus created the world and planned the world. Jesus returns to rule the world after the 7 year tribulation.
