I should disclose I am an experienced C# programmer, but after not doing as much for a while I jumped back in with this book and it really got me ready.
It contains examples, but also explains clearly each concept. It's thorough and detailed in many areas where others aren't. It isn't one of those books that focuses on forms and Visual Studio, this gives you a solid language foundation.
You're going to find this book covers a very wide range of the language and lots of concepts. A must have if you're going to do any serious C# development.
It is always a pleasure to read this book because it is clear and easy to understand.
It is very important to remark that the explanation about the way a program execute is clear, it could be nice to have a section about memory management.
I just can say if you want to understand C#, read this book.
