This book is probably just right for its price. You get what you paid for. This book contains a quick overview of the fundamentals of C# programming: declaring variables, creating classes, using the conditional statements, etc. Very simple and easy to understand example codes were given to make you understand how these commands work. I just wish the book have shown more sample exercises or codes for the reader to understand very well how this programming language works. This book can be a good guide to start with, then increase your knowledge by practicing and reading materials. Like what the author mentioned in this book it would really help to read sample codes from programmers understand how it's done then create your own style. You can start from this like I did.

It was really helpful to me as a programmer since I'm only a novice and the book covers pretty much all of the basics in C#. It went through all of the necessary parts to make a program such as variables, if-else statements and looping. The book was able to provide examples on how to do them and also showed basic code for references while practicing.

Some intermediate topics such as classes and inheritance were also tackled in the book to provide a brief overview on what they can do. Although, the book itself is rather quite short, it was able to help me further my programming knowledge and it provided me more tools to further my learning.

I sure this book would be a great asset to an intermediate computer dabbler, but in my opinion it's definitely not for beginners.

Come libro è molto interessante, ma solo se sapete la lingua inglese dato che è scritto principalmente in inglese, come praticità e apprendimento è molto semplice, così come da descrizione "for the beginners" quindi per chi non ne sa quasi nulla.. un minimo è indispensabile, almeno sapere di cosa si sta parlando. Per quanto riguarda la programmazione tratta solo le principali metodologie quindi le basi.. per comodità ho preso la versione kindle dato che non ero sicuro dell'acquisto ma non me ne sono pentito, l'acquisto è ottimo.

Ennesimo testo di Joseph Connor in lingua inglese molto discorsivo e ben scritto ( chiaramente è necessaria la comprensione almeno di base dell'inglese, la terminologia è abbastanza semplice ed in genere chi ha un minimo di dimestichezza con i linguaggi di programmazione non ha di questi problemi )

Il libro calca molto sul linguaggio c# ( C Sharp ) che possiamo considerare come il linguaggio per eccellenza del Framework .NET in quanto diversamente da altri linguaggi, come Visual Basic o C++ è nato proprio a supporto di tale piattaforma; si trovano comunque alcuni cenni relativi a concetti comuni a tutti i linguaggi di programmazione; tecnicamente scorrevole e chiaro non penso sia adatto a chi è proprio a zero con la materia oppure a chi ha solo dei minimi rudimenti, ci sono delle parti relative alla sintassi che solo chi ha una buona infarinatura può "comprendere" bene.

Tutto sommato è comunque una buona lettura tecnica....le tre stelle sono dovute al fatto che forse l'etichetta "beginners" non è proprio adeguata .

Ho comprato questo libro perchè incuriosito dal titolo.
Io conosco le basi della programmazione di C, perchè uso software come R e strumentazioni open hardware come arduino, che, appunto sfruttano il linguaggio C. In effetti questo libro è davvero molto basic, tuttavia è ben scritto e ti insegnerà nozioni riguardanti C Programming, Java Programming, C# Programming, JavaScript, Python e PHP.
Occhio, che Python è una figata! Consiglio a tutti di iniziare a programmare qualcosa con phyton.

Il libro è in inglese. Il wordwise aiuterà in caso di necessità.

Secondo me per un beginner sono soldi ben spesi. Invece chi le basi le conosce già, potrebbe comprare qualcos'altro, magari di più complesso e avanzato.

Un buon libro che dà le basi di programmazione ma a chi sà già di cosa si stia parlando. Quindi non è proprio per beginners, soprattutto perchè scritto in lingua inglese e quindi bisogna davvero sapere di cosa stia parlando.
In ogni caso vengono dati dei concetti importanti ma che non basteranno per programmare ovviamente. E' comunque un buon inizio per chi abbia una minima infarinatura dell'argomento.
