This removes SO MUCH water from the lettuce in such a short time!
One of the best features is how compact it is. The collapsible feature was what sold me on this particular model and I highly recommend it. There's no sense wasting valuable space on a non-collapsible salad spinner. It is pretty easy to fit into the dishwasher (I do top-rack for all of the pieces, but the bowl part MIGHT be okay for bottom rack since the plastic feels so sturdy and silicon can withstand high temperatures).
Everything fits together nicely and, even though it's made of plastic, it feels pretty well-made and durable. I highly recommend it!
Aside from the pains of expanding it, I find the spinner to be good at getting me a dry salad, it's somewhat hard to spin without your other hand in the way as it holds the bowl still. The inner part and outer bowl are easy to wash, but the top has lots of "fencing" which prevents being able to just quickly wipe it clean with a rag. Overrall, I don't look forward to using it, but I would rather have it than be spinner-less and I'd recommend it if you don't like wasted cabinet space (especially in the non-salad season).
I'll probably eventually get another for when this one is busy with another dish.
Mine fell apart. The lower plastic liner/ tub released from the lower edge of soft rubber. It appears that no type of adhesive was used to in-order to capture a good marriage between the Rubber grove and the plastic ring.
