That being said...I'm sure I will learn from this book and am glad its available... And I'll give it another star when I'm done reading it (probably)
Knowing the source of illness has it's own measure of giving peace to the victim.
The book states upfront that it is a fictional account of true events. The authors are scientists that stumble accross a mysterious virus developed in US laboratories. Just as soon as they make the discovery; attempts begin to kill them both. The book is very well written and is a real page turner. The fact that the book was written is a bit of a spoiler to all of the various assination plots which are employed against them both. Both of the autors contract the illness of the mystery virus and both survive after almost dieing. The symptoms of the illness they contract is very similar to the symptoms of veterans of the Gulf War and to a lesser extent, the vererans returning from our current "War on Terror".
For anyone who served in these countries and came back with medical problems - this book is a must read! Our government initially told the veretans with obscure medical problems that it was all in thier heads. Post tramatic stress disorder. Many of the veterans were sent to Phyciatrists to help them get their heads right. The book claims that the US government gave or sold this biological warfare agent to Iraq and that it was used on our own troops. The authors have a clinic in California and claim to be able to cure Gulf War Illness. To all of the effected veterans; there is hope of curing the medical problems that the government claims that you do not have. Check these people out. SDSerf
A good read if you want to get an idea of how our shadow government works.
