Law needs a tutor for his hockey team. And everyone he asks says that Andy is the guy he needs. So he spent the time to track him down but talking Andy into it is harder than he planned. Law is coming to enjoy their exchanges, the more time they spend together the more he likes the adorable quirky guy. Somehow he has to convince Andy he needs Law just as much as he does.
Andy finds himself trusting Law, it also surprises him that Law seems to enjoy his company. He even finds himself enjoying Law's company.
Law finds himself unsure of all the changes Andy is making. He like him and all his awkwardness. Then things get complicated and he is now the one tutoring Andy. Things heat up and feelings get involved. So now he just needs to convince him he doesn't need to change himself for love. He just needs someone who thinks he's been perfect all along.
Both are so clueless about falling for the other, and the chemistry is just explosive. What happens when plans change, when you no longer feel like the sidekick? All the awkward adorableness, sweet snarky humor, liking a person for who they really are, and just being yourself, makes this a must have read. So if you like jock/nerd, finding ones self, or a hot, sweet, humorous read, this is a definite one click. Can't wait to see what this new author has instore for us next. Do I recommend this book? Yes. Would I read it again? Yes.
Law was pretty likeable, though his parents were not. Andy's family was a bit strange but likeable. The book was fairly funny and well written, with very few editing mistakes. The ending/epilogue was great, although it tell nothing of Falcon. I'd read more by this writer.
I'm not even going to complain about the lack of smut because at least we got some. Plus it was good smut so I really can't complain. It's an easy breezy read which is perfect for this time of year (and what's going on in the world right now). If you want a super light read with great characters and some of the best banter ever (I seriously spent half this book laughing) pick it up. 5 solid stars because now I want someone to profess their love to me through science.
I loved, loved, loved this book! This book has the somewhat of a fake boyfriend trope/ and friends-to-lovers and it's just a great fast paced story that keeps you on your toes, your heart swooning and your fingers tingling with all the chemistry between the main characters.
The character development was phenomenal in this book. After reading the book flap, I was kind of expecting Law to be the quintessential jock but this is NOT the case at all. Law is down to earth, sweet and so in touch with his feelings. Just writing this review makes me want to read this book all over again. Andy is your typical awkward, shy nerdy type but Law complements his character and helps draw him out his shell. It's so amazing to read because both these characters build off of each other it just feels so right.
I loved this book and highly recommend giving it a chance!
The dialog was spot on to the characters personalities. There were many times Andy's verbal antics had me laughing out loud. He is such a sweet likeable person. And Law was absolutely perfect for him. They are a match made in heaven.
This is the first book I've read by this author and wanted to quickly leave my 10* review, so I'm not even aware if this is her first book or not. 😏. I'm doing a search right after I leave this review.
Project Hero is now at the top of my read again list. And, Briar Prescott will most definitely be an automatic buy for me.
I Highly recommend this story and this very talented author.

The banter was absolutely fantastic ... and the whole plot is so real that you can feel whith the charas, and understand their problems and misunderstandings :)
This book is a 100% recommendation if you like romance, friends to lovers, banter and so much fun on the way to be entertained the whole book ! :))))
*hugsdeeply* and thanx so much for this wonderful book, bye, Blackie :)
I loved Andy's character and completely related to him on every level- his quirkiness, his anxiety, need to show off and even the messy, curly, untamable hair ( I swear it's a pain). Loved the physics references and the way Law's character complimented Andy in every way.
Considering this is the author's debut attempt, very well done indeed.
Overall, if you are looking for a low angst, meet cute, a little romcom read, I'll suggest you give this one a try.
If your a fan of M/M sports/nerd romance give this one a go!
