These nightlights FADE after a few hours of use. It makes sense when you think about it: blasting light thru a printed image would fade all but the strongest of colors - which is all of them but blue. After a few weeks what you will have here is a BLUE image of Spider-man (with no background). If you are fine with that, you will love this light.
We bought this exact light a few years ago, but after a time all the colors faded and we were left with a blue-and-white image of Spider-man. The background details were completely lost. Still makes a fine nightlight, but not quite as impressive as it is when new, with all the colors intact. I figured maybe it was just that light, or maybe it was because it was a few years old. My 4 yo still loves Spidey, so I decided to upgrade his room to a new one. It completely faded in one month. Now it looks identical to the one that is a few years old. You can plug them in side-by-side and not know which one is new. I was really hoping to get more use than that!
I would not recommend these lights. It's a neat idea, but for the money I think the colors should last longer. Plus, it's kind of a pain to duck and dodge around the projection when checking on the kids at night, or get blasted in the face with an LED light - things normal nightlight just don't do. I like buying things that last, and these just don't. I'm glad I gave Spidey a second chance, but there won't be a third.
