Projekt Fixie created the ultimate fixie road bike starting with the simplicity and elegance of an urban geometry frame and straight fork made from durable high tensile steel. A Neco threadless Headset holds bullhorn pursuit handlebars with handlebar tape for a smooth comfortable ride. The classic road style saddle gets the job done, without frills, and it keeps the weight down. Radius front brakes stop when asked and are easily removed for a projekt ride. Our hubs are Projekt Quando Hubs, specially made for our bikes.. Kenda Kwest 700 x 28c tires give you quick control and great floor contact. Pressure retention is courtesy of 60mm Presta valves. Wellgo pedals and cages connect you to a Lasco three-piece sealed bearing crank set. The gear ratio is 44:16 with 74.25 gear inches using a KMC chain. All this joy comes out with a weight of 22-24 lbs., depending on size.

Immediately after receiving, i noticed this bike needed wheel truing and inquired the seller, he paid 15$ for the service, i had to pay another 15$. This is a great commuter bike, not very comfortable though but pretty quick to move around and light to carry in the trains and buses. One could find bikes at this price with lot more features in the market but i am not sure if they will be reliable in the long term. In essence i would not call this bike cheap. If you are planning to buy and have reasonable expectation, you will not be disappointed. Do not compare with 700$ bike in comparison.
I bought the 52cm matte black, found that it was bit small for me, fitted the handle bar upside down and increased seat height which made the bike more convenient to ride.
Amazon Prime is 2-Day shipping. I got the bike overnight! A+ for shipping; although, the box came a little damaged, but the bike seemed to be okay.
It took about 20 minutes to assemble. The correct tools to assemble the bike was all there. The only thing I wish they would have included is some bike grease, but I just got some for free at a local bike shop.
The bike actually is partially assembled. It is configured currently for single speed cycling. But the included flip-flop hub can turn it into a fixed gear bike. The pictures indicate that the bike will come with a water bottle holder, but IT DOES NOT. Also, the wheels are not trued (they aren't terrible). When assembling the bike, you can place the front brakes on either the left or right side of the handlebars which is nice.
Overall solid bike. You can go really fast! Holding it horizontally (not the bull horns) gets a little tiring, but holding it by the horns feel great. The grips are comfortable, but I can see how regular use can wear out the tape. The seat is average. I ride it to school almost everyday (about 10 minutes one way), and the seat is fine. I went on a 2 hour ride in the city, and eventually the seat starts to get uncomfortable, but I don't count that as a con.
first 50 miles: bottom bracket and crank broke. Contacted the company with no response. Ended up buying a better set
~400 miles the handle wrap became loose and annoying. This was my mistake though, I didn't know you were supposed to tape the ends. So if you purchased this bike, tape the ends of the handle wraps.
~700 miles the back cog is offset/bent and makes adjusting the chain tension impossible.
~800 miles the rim paint started to chip/bubble where the tire bead sits. The rim became sharp/jagged. Ripped a hole in the tire and popped 3 tires within 10 miles. I was going crazy due to lack of punctures on the tread until i noticed the rim punctured the tire and tube.
I road my last bike for roughly 2k miles with just simple tune ups, and no problems until it was stolen. This replacement bike ended up being the worst bike I have owned. I spend more time fixing it than riding it.
2 stars because it did function for a little bit after replacing the crank and bottom bracket (time to fix the rim). Overall: cheap bike, cheap parts, heavy!
