Review

." . . [Marion] is one of the most provocative thinkers working on the boundaries of philosophy and theology today. . . .[Prolegomena to Charity] represents such a theological workarich, insightful, and constructively traversing 'phenomenology as well as the most straightforwardly Christological theology.'"a

Format: Paperback
An outstanding introduction, both to Marion's phenomenology of religious experience, and to working treatises on charity. Full of luscious descriptions and carefully crafted arguments for the givenness of love, Prolegomena to Charity exemplifies the best work in Christian theology today. From sharper definitions of love to the malnourished consequences of world views without love, this book admirably and comprehensively presents an author whose insights English speaking theologians and philosophers alike should become acquainted. An exquisite work.
