The Promise was super bitter sweet tearjerker. I was blind sided and took me completely by surprise. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am an extremely sensitive person that cried for anything and everything. So I definitely cried so much.
I can't say much without giving the plot away, but reason why I didn't give the book a full five star rating is because I didn't really feel the love connection between the hero and heroine. I felt as though I didn't get to know Theo much and after getting to 50% I had to do a little bit of skipping because I kind of knew where it was heading. But other than that, this book was so well written that I could picture everything described in the book so well. I felt as though I was watching a movie in between the lines. It was incredible, Melody Grace definitely has a unique and wonderful writing style.
“I watched the night bleed into daylight, and felt the time slip away. Then, like now, I was helpless to stop it coming. And then, like now, I would have moved mountains to get it back.”
Claire, anonymous in a city thousands of miles from home, was too perky for her coworkers comfort. What she thrives on, they thought a chore. She was just happy to be! Also, coming from a small town where everyone knows your business, she couldn’t help but watch everything around her. What she especially looked for was Theo. He seemed like a gift. A new city, a gorgeous guy and no rules; exactly what her best friend Hope wanted for her. But will Claire’s secret send everything crashing down?
I am not sure rather to suggest it or not. It is only $0.99 so it is not to much to waste if you do not like it,
If you do not like sad endings, do not buy this book.
If you like heart breakers then go ahead and one click you will like it.
I like romance I am a huge sap. Life is hard, so when I escape I want happiness not sadness. Death is a part of real life, I do not want to read about it.
This ending was very sad, ugly face cry.
If you want a happy ever after, not happening.
I feel like their is missing parts. like blanks that need filled in
