This was a sweet tale and by the end of it I was a little bit smitten by it. Though I wished Danielle and Travis didn't keep their relationship secret for so long because I wished we could have seen them go on a real date, but other than that it was an enjoyable read.
Being a military wife it did break my heart watching Dylan go through with having to adjust to his new life and I'm glad Travis was there for him because I know from some scenes it was hard for Dylan to show his sister how weak he's become even though Danielle could handle it because she's a nurse but it's partly a pride thing for Dylan. In his eyes he went from being a hero to needing help to go to the bathroom, it can't be easy on anyone that has to go through that. I think Mrs. Folsom wrote this really well.
Overall though I was nervous to read it because of the military aspect (when you watch military movies with your marine who nit picks everything they get wrong it starts to rub off you, I was afraid I would be nit picking things in this book) but instead I was devouring this book! I enjoyed being in this world, Mrs. Folsom is definitely one of my go to authors!
If you are looking for a quickie, um, I mean a quick, hot and steamy read that has a great story line, look no farther than this. This is the book that fits all of that. Actually all of the Roommate Romaces do! I love this story.
Danielle, or Dani, is a nurse. But she also takes care of her brother who is recovering from losing his leg in the war. She is wearing herself thin working and taking care of Dylan.
Travis is Dylan’s battle buddy and best friend. He knows all about the night terrors Dylan has. Dylan has Travis move in with him and Dani.
There is an immediate attraction between Dani and Travis. Things do heat up quickly. Dani wants things to remain a secret because of Dylan.
Their story is hot and steamy. It’s a great read! But what else can you expect from Rene Folsom.
I do want Dylan to get a story also. PLEASE RENE!!
I loved all the characters in this story.
Dylan is all Danielle has left and when he comes home from wounded from the war she wants nothing more than to to take care of him. Dylan realizes Danielle needs help and knows she'll never ask for it or complain about working and taking care of him so he invites his battle buddy Travis to come and help out. Danielle has no prior warning until she runs into him. Danielle and Travis feel the connection but Danielle refuses to acknowledge it publicly afraid of what her over protective brother will do. So...what will become of Danielle and Travis? Will Dylan come between them? Will there be HEA for them?
Congratulations Rene on another great book!

Wow. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I do have to say that I enjoyed this novella quite a bit, Folsom certainly does a great job with the smutty scenes in the books. But not only that but the characters are also very well written at the same time.
The only issue that I have with this book, is that minus the quick mention of how Travis has problems himself with what had happened to himself, there is no more mention of it at all. No mention of if he has gotten treatment, or even if he’s still having the issues he was having. So it was almost like it was mentioned to mention it, but not closed up completely.
Overall, I did still enjoy this book and I will continue to read more form Folsom in the future.

This is so well written, it doesnt feel like a short story as it doesnt feel rushed and it doesnt feel as if anything has been missed. You imidietely want to see what is going to happen with Danielle and Travis, and you are not left disappointed as this book is HOT!
I cannot recommend Rene's books enough, and this is again another fantastic one to add to the collection.
