The strangest thing happened however while reading this story. I guess at some point, I found myself much more invested in Brian and Sway's relationship than what was happening with Ford and Dana. I mean, my God! The scenes between Brian and Sway were some of the hottest and most emotional in this series. Though I'm glad Ford and Dana finally got their respective acts together, I simply can't wait to read more about Brian and his man...because I have no doubt that Brian will make Sway his, lol!
Every time I finish reading one of her books, I go back to one of her other fantastic series and begin reading them all over again from the first book in the series to the last. I like that characters from one series to the next let's you catch up with characters from different storylines. It highlights the axiom that the world is really a small place and that we are all interconnected. That she can interweave all these character's lives in some way is truly an amazing feat and the hallmark of a brilliant and talented author.
I'm looking forward to reading Brian and Sway's story. I know it will be another fantastic gem.
Dana is younger than Ford and has done everything for Ford to see him as more than just a "kid" to him! The attraction he has felt for him has been so strong but fearing that his straight partner would never return his feelings, had let him to seek comfort in many others beds, those basically all being women!
Ford can't understand why Dana goes for these women that treat him like crap! Dana is such a force to be reckon with on missions but when it comes to his personal life he lets these horrible women treat him like crap! What makes Ford even madder is how he wishes Dana would see is worth and be his! Ford just is afraid to be another one of Dana's play things and the other problem is the age differnce! Ford just doesn't see why Dana would even what to be with someone that is 13 years older than him!
Dana tired of playing these games with Ford and all the fighting finally confronts him and these sexually feelings!
Before too long the heat between these two is off the charts!! Three years worth of pent up sexual desire finally coming to the surface along with hidden feelings!
But with a bounty out on a high drug dealer things on the street are taking a toll on the whole team! Time is ticking before this whole case can blow up!! All their lives are on the line!!!
Love the heat and passion between these two!!!

I am a big AE Via fan and this book definitely didn’t disappoint. We have seen Ford and Dana in the previous books in this series and it’s great to see them get their own story. Ford is having trouble processing his feelings and reactions to Dana and ends up reacting in anger more often than not. Dana is for the most part lonely and really only wants someone around that actually cares for him and this causes him to stay with his uppity girlfriend even when he is unhappy.
Dana needs to step up and get rid of his girlfriend before they can do anything while they are investigating and trying to locate two bountys. Dana and Ford have to bump heads a few times and learn to trust even more before they can really begin to have a relationship. Both of them have to accept what their relationship means while still being able to do their jobs at each other’s sides no matter the risk.
This book is told through both characters’ eyes so we get the chance to understand both of them well. We also get the opportunity to see a bit through Ford’s brother’s, Brian’s, eyes which gives me hope that the next book will be his opportunity to find the partner he needs. I could just feel how betrayed Dana felt by his girlfriend and then when Ford pushes him away at first. Seeing Ford finally accept that he can have the relationship he wants to with Dana was wonderful. These two build a strong relationship that will only get stronger as they are together and I can’t wait to read Brian’s story.
Cover art is great and follows the pattern for this series.
