I did not read the book "The Prophet" but listened to this audiobook and found it so very inspiring. The music and readers were an excellent presentation of Kahlil Gibran's work. I especially enjoyed that there were several different readers and voices that matched the music. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to be inspired.

The Davis Commerce audiobook production of The Prophet is simply wonderful. It is a masterpiece of narration and music. The eight different readers have excellent voices and annunciation. This, combined with the classical music, makes the story come alive as it matches the prose verses perfectly and adds the emotion the author intended.

I love this book and I usually give it as a gift to others. But this print is so cheap looking that I am sending it back. Everything thing about the prints, fonts and quality of paper is so underwhelming.

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware - production error

This is not a comment on Gibran's writing, which I love.
It is solely about the production of this edition (and I must assume this is not a one-off thing, though may not be universal), which has been botched.
Now, if you like having a random children's story about a talking tree in German popping up as an interlude in the middle of your reading, this is definitely the edition for you.
If, however, like me, you prefer simply to read the author whose work you actually selected, I'd steer clear. There is an entire (c. 30 pages) German language children's story bound in between pages 28-29 of The Prophet (see photos). You have been warned!
