I have a lemon balm tincture I made and dropped a bit of this into it. The alcohol dissolved the propolis over the course of a week and now I have a nice lemon balm / propolis tincture. It is MUCH easier to apply to skin or to take internally at a lower concentration.
I did follow one recommendation to place the propolis on bread and wrap it. I probably should have made the bread ball a bit smaller because it expanded quickly. However, it prevented the propolis from staining my teeth.
It smells really good to me. Again, I have no comparison since this is my first experience with it, but I think it smells fresh and kind of delicate. I would purchase it again.
Of course it will be somewhat thicker than a Propolis that has less Propolis in it, however, one must decide if they want/need a less thick solution.
Not much to say about Propolis that perhaps is not already known, especially if one is searching for Propolis.
As far as Y.S. Bee Products are concerned, I've been using Y.S. products for well over a decade, and they are most certainly a company that I trust.
There are many Honey companies that are not as reliable, and may import their Bee/Honey products from China.
The only downside: Because it is so concentrated, this particular brand is gooey and resinous, and needs to be mixed with juice or water---otherwise it will stick to your teeth like a gooey resin would. Even with juice/water, it barely mixes and it may stain your drinking water glass.
Highly recommended for it's superior benefits.
I added a few drops of this product into my fruit smoothie at home.
My bare skin was completely healed within about 3 weeks and I was very excited about this product, but the characteristic red and brownish leg ulcer skin remained on the silver dollar-sized affected region above my ankle so I continued to use the propolis in hopes that the skin would eventually return to normal. Literally overnight, I developed a nasty allergic skin reaction and rash after one month of use without any problems. The rash has developed blisters and they popped and now I have raw skin again. I hope it doesn't end up being worse than the original wound!
Beware of the rapid onset of an allergic reaction with propolis! Doing small skin tests before adopting the use of this product did not reveal any problems for me and the reaction occurred suddenly after about 1 month of use. I don't know how one could predict the outcome I've experienced but definitely test first on a small area of healthy skin and look for signs of an allergic reaction anyway.
