The main reason I gave it three stars is I didn't feel the content justified the significantly higher price. I hesitated before clicking "buy now" but then thought: Hey, this must be REALLY good stuff for it to be selling at THAT price. Not so. That old adage: You get what you pay for, doesn't apply here.
The secret Markus reveals is that prosperity already exists, we just have to let it in by removing its blockages. By removing things like fear, clutter, toxicity, debt, and so on, financial opportunities find their way to us. This makes some sense to me. Happiness arrives by removing intellect. Health arrives by removing toxicity. But to get prosperous we, according to Markus, have to remove many things. He doesn't quite define it as one particular thing, though a recent experience of mine eludes to the fact that people with money are attracting to people with inner peace, or mental space: One morning, during a mantric practice, I felt a moment of mental peace. Later that day, a woman called me inquiring about my services. Inner peace is the most valuable inner possession. Does this mean that it attracts the most valuable external possession, money?
Later in the book, Markus says that money has a mind behind it, that money will avoid you if you constantly demonstate bad spending habits, and so on. You are trustees of the Cosmos, treat money well and more will come.
Markus constantly makes a distinction between the rich and the poor: the rich invest, while the poor spend. The rich have others work, while the poor do the work. The rich learn from their mistakes while the poor complain about them.
Grammatical errors, poor kindle formatting, and sweeping generalisations make this a four-star book for me. I am familiar with money secrets and while this book does not contain ALL money secrets, it is a great introduction and really makes me think and behave differently.
A bonus in this book: three millionaires give their advice at the end of the book. This is quite good. Ultimately, assuming we know our vocation or what we are good at that others will pay us for, we need to invest our creative energy into that and not into things like doing the laundry and other menial tasks. Delegate! And we need to take good care of ourselves. Also, once we commit to a project, money seems to show up suddenly. Lakshmi, or the god of money, wants you to be ready before dumping millions of dollars into your lap. Get your affairs in order by clearing away the obstacles and looking after yourself and the money will start to show up. This was a little new for me.
The best book on money laws hasn't been written yet. But this one I will read a second time and this time take notes. It is written in a conversational style so that you can really get into what Markus is trying to communicate. It's quite simple and deserves attention and application.
If this book doesn't do it for you, try The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity or The 22 Laws of Inner Peace or Money Magnetism. These books are more direct. They don't ramble so much.
