(I am writing this review after owning this laptop for three weeks)
What I like:
-GREAT keyboard. Has a distinctive look as well as back-light color customization (15 preset colors. Love my green.)
-It looks nice, but it doesn't look borderline ridiculous like many other gaming laptops. You could take this into a professional environment and not turn any heads with flashy decals, or overly aggressive lines.
-OUTSTANDING VALUE! I spent MONTHS looking at gaming laptops and I was blown away by the specs on this compared to the price (32gb ram and RTX 2060 for under $1500!?)
-Solid performance. I have played a number of games on this (FPS, RTS, MOBA's) and the lowest frame rate I have seen was from Warzone in the 60-ish range. But most games it is running in the hundreds easily.
-Great temperature control. I love the control center that is built in. I'm not into overclocking my laptop, but I do like to have easy to adjust profiles and fan speeds depending on my needs and this makes it REALLY easy to adjust on the fly (I'd love to have some keyboard shortcuts to change profiles, but this is a very minor thing).
-Thin bezel. The thin bezel keeps the 15" laptop from getting to large.
-NUMPAD! This was a must have for me, as along with gaming I do lots of data entry and the numpad works well. The only thing you may need to think about is how much you care about the size of the "0" on the numpad. It is only a single key large instead of a double key, but I have found the adjustment pretty easy to make.
- Trackpad is nice. Not the best, but it gets the job done.
-Screen - 144hz refresh on a 1080p screen. The RTX 2060 puts it to good use. Nice looking screen. (It is NOT a touch screen, which I am happy about as my last touch screen was a fingerprint magnet and dulled the look of the screen over time).
-Rear ports. I really like having the power port and HDMI port in the rear of the unit. Leaves more room on the side.
-Effective vents. Intake vents on the rear and output vents on the side. My right hand can get a little warm at times, but it's not unbearable or anything like that.
What I DON'T like:
Speakers - If you plan on using the built in speakers on this laptop a lot and you are a sound snob, you may want to rethink this laptop. The speakers are quite tinny. But I use headphones almost all the time so this is nearly a non-issue for me.
Battery life - WOW. This sucker eats the battery up FAST. Even on energy saver, the most I have gotten out of this is about an hour and 15 minutes. If you plan on being away from a power outlet often, you may want to look else where.
TL;DR - Great gaming laptop for the price. Performs very well, but the speakers and battery life could be a deal breaker depending on how important those things are to you.
