I loved how strong and resilient Sydney was. Moving around a lot as kids, her brother Ethan was her only real friend until college.
Kane was in the military with Ethan. I loved his character, strong, quiet, and very protective over those he loves. He quickly realizes that he wants to always protect Sydney. No one will stand in his way, not evil father's that want revenge on their daughter or psycho stalkers. These two have some things thrown at them but they are determined to overcome them all.
I thought the characters were very well rounded, including the supporting characters. The time line was different from anything I've read before but I love that. You get to see them over a period of time and then 15 years later at the end. I loved LeAnn's story telling and can't wait to read more of her work.
The interior design of the book? Unimpressive and children's book looking.
The writing? Choppy.
The plot? Let's introduce a new character out of thin air and somehow make it work.
The overall quality? Did this even go through editing?
I returned this book. First one I've returned in... 2 years. Complete disappointment and will never read her books again. Bad first impression.
This story started out with a bang, and I could hardly catch my breath the rest of the book. The character development is great, with secondaries that need their own stories. An action packed, fast paced, and well written story line flows smoothly. Well placed humor had me spitting out my drink (cat at school), and the twists were insane. Great chemistry lead to SMOKIN' HOT sexy scene goodness, and the all consuming love was awesome. My only issue is that I got overwhelmed with all the twists and turns flying at my head for the length of the book. Overall, a great story, and I will be reading this talented author again, so I happily recommend!
