The ending was way, way to rushed. It was almost like, okay I am done writing so lets just tack an ending on.
While there was no fatal flaws with this book, I just wasn't a huge fan.
Joelle has to become a stripped at Hush, Brendan's nightclub.
Brendan suspects drugs are being run through his club. He's got a father for a drug addict and thinks he lost his brother to drugs. Now he thinks his cousin, Billy, is running drugs through his business.
When Joelle was assigned the case she never expected to fall for Brenden. She also never expected so many secrets to be revealed while running an undercover drug sting.
I was in awe as secrets come to surface. I never saw it coming. I thought I knew what to expect but I so wrong. You will definitely have to read it all the way through to know what actually comes to surface.
First, I am a sucker for accents and I loved how S.Donahue enhanced the accents in her writing style (for instance hot was hawt.) don't know about you but I often found myself reading aloud in with a Boston twang. Now, enter sexy Brendan Kirkpatrick with said sexy accent and you've got yourself your next book boyfriend.
I also loved the topic of the book, a undercover cop posing as a stripper. To me, this book had it all - it had sex, thriller and suspense, not to mention love.
I enjoyed reading this book! It had a great storyline and I was turning pages just to see what happened. However I only give this book a 3 and half star rating but I rounded up to 4. As much as I enjoyed it and would recommend it to other readers because not everyone enjoys the same thing. For me it did not flow as well as I like. It seemed the scenes were snapshotted instead of flowing from one to the other. I also didn't connect well to the characters they seemed to be missing some depth for me. I loved the characters don't get me wrong. Joella is a strong female lead and Brendan is her perfect male counterpart. Reading about things unfolding between them was great but it felt rushed. There were parts where I was waiting on the edge to see what happened and those parts are what kept me reading! Overall a good read and I would recommend!
I enjoyed the way I was kept guessing and couldn't put it down until I found out the truth.
