We'll ship you a replacement device (same or newer model depending on availability). You'll also receive a pre-paid shipping label to send your damaged device back to us (must have a valid credit card on file in order to receive a replacement).




Return your damaged device within 30 days from reception (otherwise you will be charged the price of the replacement).


Things to know:

  • Upon purchase, you'll receive an email. This will be your official purchase confirmation. To give you the best customer experience possible, SquareTrade may also contact you about your purchase by telephone.
  • Please read the terms and conditions (see the link at the bottom of the page).
  • Start Date: Plan begins on the date your device is delivered, or on the plan purchase date if you already have your device and are purchasing a plan within 90 days of device purchase, and is inclusive of the manufacturer's warranty period. I Subway's hesitate purchasing product protection. Do you need protection do you not need protection but I decided since it was a two-year Protection Plan Plus accident protection for the all new Fire HD 8 Seventh Generation 2017. If you're wondering does the protection start immediately when you order it even before you receive your product. The answer is no you can purchase the optional warranty protection plan within 30 days of the date that your Amazon device ships. The company emails your warranty packet immediately but your coverage does not begin until the devices shipped when Amazon ship should device they activate the warranty and update for coverage dates. So I'm glad I purchased this since I'm not familiar with the Kindle Fire tablets I know they have a good reputation but I personally have not had the opportunity to buy one until now. It's a personal choice if you want to buy a warranty and protection for your device I would recommend it because you never know when it gets left in the driveway and gets run over as you're backing out or going down the road on vacation and your child in the backseat wants to know if it can fly so puts it out the window and yes it flies right in the middle of the street and gets run over many more scenarios I'm sure but I would recommend getting the warranty although, the Amazon Fire tablets have always had a good reputation. I've had SquareTrade warranties in the past and have had a great experience with them. Fortunately I haven't had to use too many of the warranties I've purchased but on the occasions I have it was easy & fast to make my claim. I try to always get SquareTrade warranties.

I bought the protection plan and tried to use it and they said I hadn't bought it. Thus far it has not been resolved. I have all the necessary paperwork to prove I bought it, but that doesn't seem to matter.

If I could give them less that I star I would!!! Don't waste your money with this Square Trade Plan - buy something else. I bought the Kindle Fire HD 8 - 32g and thought I was buying the 3 year protection plan to cover the replacement of my 32g Kindle. When I received my warranty I reviewed it online and it will only replace the cheaper Kindle Fire. I called the company and they said to send my receipt of the Kindle that I bought - which I did. I then waited a few days and called back. They said that they could sell me a new plan to cover replacement of my Kindle 32g so I said ok how much would that be - thinking that it should only be a few more dollars maybe $5. They wanted to sell me a 3 year protection plan for $104.00 - that is almost what I paid for the Kindle to begin. What a load of something that smells bad!! I asked why it would be so much and was told that is just the regular price, it was my error since I bought the wrong plan on Amazon. That is the plan that came up when I made my purchase and there was no way for me to tell it was the WRONG plan. It seems to me like bait and switch. Since I have already paid for the 3 year plan for the lower priced Kindle I will just keep that and pray I do not have to use this plan and deal anymore with this horrible company. I love the idea of having a protection plan & hope to never have to use it to find out if the plan is any good or not. I have never bought an Amazon device & I hope that it is good enough to never need the plan! So I am rating this on that I like the ability & security of knowing it's here if needed but I can't rate the actual experience of the plan cause I have never used it.

Excellent price. I was very surprised that given Amazon's excellent history of standing by their products that the Fire HD 8 only has a 90 day warranty. Purchased one as a gift for Christmas (in November) and it recently stopped working and I found out there was only a 90 day warranty instead of the 1 year standard that almost all electronics carry.
