Healthy but Poor Tasting Cereal

I've been looking for a more healthy alternative to my morning cereal (Honey Nut Cherios) and so I was very happy when I came across this product. Despite the reviews on it's poor taste, I hedged my bets since I'm a huge sweet tooth but also I eat pretty much everything (ie. Meats, fish, tons of veggies, breads, etc.) so I thought maybe others were just being picky. Unfortunately, that is not the case, this cereal tastes like a bowl of artifical sweetener mixed with salt mixed with a crunchy oat. I couldn't finish more than 4 bites. Wondering if it was just me, I even had 5 other friends try it and none of them liked the taste. I bought 3 boxes right away (should have bought 1) so I tried the others, thinking the one I had was defective but no, same poor taste. The reason for 3 stars is that it is a healthy cereal alternative so it does do what it states it will, and per reviews, some people seem to like it, but to be 4 or 5 stars, the taste should appeal to the masses. If you can handle the taste, then I think it's a great choice, so for that it might be worth buying a box to try, but personally I won't be buying again unless the recipe/taste changes.

Food is pretty efficient in protein, low in calories, and tastes good! The major downside to this product and why I will not be purchasing it again is, 10 USD will get you 570 calories worth of food. As a male I typically eat 4 meals a day between 500-700 calories with snacks. This allows me to stay pretty lean. 10 USD per meal and snacks would put me at eating about 45 USD per day. There is no way that buying this cereal as an occasional breakfast to refrain from eating the same diet meals for breakfast is financially sustainable.

Ever since I been on my loss weight journey, I had to depart with my love of sugary cereal. Plus all those cereals that claim to be healthy are either high in calories or carbs..... But this cereal nailed it. Low calorie, low carb and very low sugar and high protein and AMAZING CRUNCH AND TASTE. I am so excited to have really delicious cereal. I even substitute milk with a protein drink. This is absolutely a cereal to get it you miss cereal and want to keep your eating in check.

This cereal is great for low carb dieting, I have a late night craving for cereal all the time and this with almond milk (unsweetened) has 5 carbs when a normal bowl of cereal with whole milk is about 50 carbs sometimes more. So this will stay in my pantry, and the taste is awesome. I even eat it for a on the go lunch..
