I disagree with the previous reviewer. The author does tend to use a variety of powders (aka not just whey), but with good reason. Different proteins offer varying textural qualities and flavors. For example, many of the plant based protein powders absorb a lot of water and give the final product a more cake-like mouthfeel. Baking with whey alone often renders a rubbery, spongey texture. Moreover, cooking with a variety of powders creates options that would otherwise not be an option for vegans.

I have been a follower of the author's blog for some time and have always loved her creations. Over the years her recipes have only gotten better. The recipes in this book offer a unique way of cooking with protein powder while also incorporating a wide variety of vegetables. I certainly recommend it and often talk it up to friends.

I've known about the author's blog and made some of her recipes before the book was released and was very much looking forward to it. The book delivers with creative recipes for many different variations of high protein treats. One thing that caught me off guard is how in-depth the cooking can be with protein powders (I was previously stuck with protein shakes and proatmeal). There is a cute little chart in the beginning of the book about different powders you can use and the qualities they give; it even gives you acceptable substitutions for powders that she includes in her recipes that you might not have lying around the house.

Overall, the quality of the book itself along with the recipes is a pleasant, protein-packed addition to my cooking repertoire!

I was looking forward to checking out this book as I have been following the author on social media for awhile now. I am new to the protein cooking game and have found this book a great help. The recipes and steps are very well laid out and easy to follow, Ana really aims for easy and good food. The colorful and descriptive ideas make me want to keep cooking and try every single one. I would recommend this book for someone starting out as well as someone who has been doing this for a long time, the variety is fantastic!

I find it hard to believe that the 5-star reviewers actually made many of the recipes. A few worked, but some came out nothing like the photos or descriptions and we're just edible at best - especially the sweet/treat ones. I agree with the reviewer who suggested that you try recipes from her website before buying the book, because that will give you a good idea of the good-to-bad recipe ratio. Some of the recipes on her site are fairly good (mostly the ones for breads), but many are utter wastes of expensive ingredients. I got this book from a friend who didn't like it at all, and I'm glad I didn't pay for it. If you want to increase your protein intake and are looking for ways to do so that don't involve meat, she does have some recipes that are good alternatives to pounding chicken and fish. But don't expect that you can boost your protein by enjoying yummy baked goods - too many of her recipes are complete failures.

Awesome recipes that are creative and healthy.

Requires some odd ingredients I don;t normally purchase but those foods are the healthy foods that should be bought on a regular bases. I'll be revamping my kitchen food stock.

LOVE IT!
