You will get minimal protection as it is a thin plastic case, but it has served my phone well. It's functionality lies in its mirrored cover, allowing me to check for things stuck in my teeth, fix my hair so i don't look stupid, sneak a peek at someone behind you, or even use it to change out your contacts!
It's been beat up a fair amount and my phone has finally taken its toll after 2 years as the display and volume buttons are beginning to fail after a few too many drops. However, the glass is still in great condition with minimal scuffs where the case doesn't cover. Not terribly difficult to remove, but is snug. Many of my previous cases would crack after repeated removal. This one has lasted by far the longest without breaking.
I didn't really notice before, but there is a small drop in wifi signal that seems to be rampant with these mirrored cases, but I hadn't fully realized it until I read up about it recently. Overall, this has been my favorite phone case that I've used thus far.
