I bought this pack for 7.50 on sale last week, and have only played Prototype 1 so far but it is easily worth that price. It's not often Activision puts its games on massive sales, if you're considering getting this pack and it's $15 or less DO IT.

This isn't a terrible game, but I feel that it's not a great one either. Protoype and Prototype 2 are pretty much the same, although I personally like the protagonist more in the second game. I was able to purchase both of these games for around $4.99 USD together in the bundle (on sale), so this wasn't a bad purchase considering what I paid for it. It should be noted that these are a console port to PC. So while you may be able to play these games with keyboard/mouse, it's much more proficient to play with a controller; I use an XBox 360 controller myself. I don't feel that this title is very innovative, but if you enjoy this genre - it's probably safe to guess that you'll like both games. The developer has since stopped making games due to major layoffs in 2012, so support for this game may be limited.

You can play it on steam without using any proxy or vpn services. It has no region lock like some games so you can play outside of USA with no problems, buy it now.

The series or rather the engine I guess has some persistent bugs on PC, which can make it rather un-enjoyable if you are not able to figure out the workaround for it.

The only real bug I've ran into is the weird input lag, but changing a couple of things in Radeon Pro fixed it to where it's unnoticeable.

I bought 2 copies as gifts for friends, kept the radnet DLC from one of them as that friend is not the type to do the achievement/side mission thing and activated it on my copy.

Picked up the original Prototype when it first came out on Xbox 360 and fell in love with the game. There's just something to be said about a game that lets you body surf in a way totally different from a concert, karate kick helicopters and tanks (take that Chuck Norris), and run track up a friggin skyscraper. Oh, and you're a living weapon. The story wasn't much and a few fights were tough, but the game was good. I eventually got tired of it though, but having it on PC now lets me keep playing without it taking up space on my shelf.

Prototype 2 is more of the same, but necessarily in a bad way. Living weapon again, karate kicking tanks and elbow dropping strike team helicopters. And more body surfing. Haven't gotten far into the story for this one of personal reasons, the protagonist feels slower than Mercer was in the first game. Might be that I haven't leveled him up yet, but I prefer my characters to be speedy. While this guy is agile, he just feels a bit sluggish aesthetically. Still fun though, and his powers, while mostly the same as the first, still look new and intimidating in their own way. The only solid complaint I've got is graphics. The game's about 3 years newer than the first, and the graphics look about the same. This is all right for the most part, as I'm not a big stickler, but sometimes you gotta stop and appreciate your surroundings, and when you do it looks pretty muddled. Just saying that for three years later, they could've done better.

Games are overall fantastically fun. And body surfing.

I'll be honest, these games arent great. They're time wasters at best. Stories suck, cutscenes suck, acting sucks. Combat is okay, world is large and open, and graphics are interesting.

But our wonderful friend amazon puts this set on sale for $10 on occasion. And for that price, yeah, you have to get it. How can you not? It comes with steam codes! And DLC! And bragging rights to have a big ol' steam library full of expensive games!

    Get it on sale!

if you can get them to work these games are fun to play.
the first one worked for me and was fun enough that i could overlook the weak control scheme.
the second glitched so badly that i was unable to progress past a certain point in the story because the game would just not let me progress.
I wouldn't recommend these games for PC and would instead encourage you to look for the console versions if you want to enjoy these games at all.
