Having recently left her cheating boyfriend, Faye Carter is offered the chance to write the autobiography of famous film star, Anabelle Beech.
T.A. Williams brings the French countryside to life in this story. You could almost see the lavender fields, and woods where Anabelle Beech’s estate is located. What was wonderful about this story was how the characters developed. It was more than a love story; revelations are brought to light as the story goes on, and yes, Faye does fall in love with Gavin (a local farmer), but it is at a believable pace. She is in Provence for six months to write Anabelle’s biography, and over that time, she becomes closer to everyone in that area.
I fell in love with this story! (TBH, I’ve loved every T.A. Williams book I’ve read so far, and this is no exception!) I felt like I was there with Faye as she was walking the countryside, sipping champagne, and eating delicious food! If you are looking for a sweet summer read, pick this up!
I voluntarily read an advanced review copy provided by the publisher via Netgalley and I offer my honest opinion in response.
