Product Description
In a futuristic Japan, the Sibyl System is charged with keeping the peace. Using extensive surveillance and biological monitoring to gauge the likelihood that individuals will commit a crime, the police are able to use weapons called Dominators to remove potential criminals from the population before they become a problem. Confident with the success of the System within their own borders, the Japanese government has begun to export the technology to other countries, planning to ultimately spread the System across the globe.
When the state of SEAUn brings the Sibyl System in to test its effectiveness, it becomes a haven of peace and safety—for a time. Eventually, terrorists from SEAUn begin appearing in Japan, somehow slipping through the System’s security and attacking from within. Desperate for answers, Inspector Akane Tsunemori is sent overseas to bring the terrorists to justice. But when her investigation forces her into a standoff with an old ally, will she be able to pull the trigger?

As for the movie itself, it continues the fundamental theme of the show of questioning the Sibyl system and its use. Now its exported to another country caught in a civil war. As the plot unfolds, the escaped Kogami fights a corrupt government military and is pursued by Akane seeking to uncover how the system is used outside of Japan. Its revealed Sibyl orchestrated its own exportation through deciet, not only that but a dummy system was planted in order for the military to exploit the technology without using the system itself. Again, the key theme revealed the Sibyl planned its exportation, used foreign military for its own ends, and tried to justify the deaths it sowed in the civil war for its own gain. Akane remains the moral center consistently by reminding power gained through deciet as the film's center lie of the system.
a better between brutal action a, philosophical exploration.
This movie is pretty satisfying for me as a fan. It's great to see the MWPSB back in action and this time they seems way more badass than in the tv series. My complain on this movie is there's too much focus on Akane, and not enough screen time for Kogami and Ginoza.
I didn't give it 5 stars because of half the movie in it's original japanese audio was spoken in english, which made it sound very bad. The 'english' dialog was written by a japanese writer, and spoken by japanese voice actor. They just sound very awkward and unnatural.
But overall, I'm just happy to finally able to see more of the Sybil system and the MWPSB, watching this movie lower my crime coefficient :-)

The Blu-ray disc works on UK players without any issue and it also comes with the DVD version of the show so you should be able to watch it regardless.
This case is actually a little thinner than a usual Blu-ray case. Holds the discs and has nice artwork, can't ask for much else.
There are 4 beautiful, "postcard like" images that came inside the case. I'm not sure if these are meant to be displayed but you can keep them inside the case without issue.
The extras include an English commentary but not much else.
Overall this is a must buy if you liked the film.
