Product Description
In a futuristic Japan, the Sibyl System is charged with keeping the peace. Using extensive surveillance and biological monitoring to gauge the likelihood that individuals will commit a crime, the police are able to use weapons called Dominators to remove potential criminals from the population before they become a problem. Confident with the success of the System within their own borders, the Japanese government has begun to export the technology to other countries, planning to ultimately spread the System across the globe.
When the state of SEAUn brings the Sibyl System in to test its effectiveness, it becomes a haven of peace and safety—for a time. Eventually, terrorists from SEAUn begin appearing in Japan, somehow slipping through the System’s security and attacking from within. Desperate for answers, Inspector Akane Tsunemori is sent overseas to bring the terrorists to justice. But when her investigation forces her into a standoff with an old ally, will she be able to pull the trigger?

This movie takes place right after the events of Season two. You are dropped in quickly and are taken for a ride that, while it has it moments of pure luck that is contrary to the series it self, still entertain fans of the series.
Personally, I enjoyed this more then the entirety of Season 2. It just felt more natural and not as forced.
Overall, If you like the Series, then you will like the Movie hands down. It hold true to what is loved about Psycho Pass while delivering a fresh new turn of events.
Plot was... predictable for this series but I liked how it played out.
I was going to see the rerelease in about a week, but because of the spike in COVID-19, I thought it better to purchase the Blu-Ray disc instead.
Last night, I watched the "Uncut" version. Ultimately, nothing new or revealing is offered in this version, but one point really annoys me.
[Spoiler alert]: One of the extended scenes involves the killing of Arbogast, the private investigator who discovered (or was about to discover) too much information for his own good.
After he is ambushed at the top of the stairs by "Mrs. Bates," and slashed across the forehead and face, Arbogast staggers backward, ultimately falling on his back - hard - on the first floor. No sooner does he fall, than "Mrs. Bates" swoops down on him. The next shot is of the butcher knife, held high, and coming down, accompanied by Arbogast's anguished scream. Fade to black. This is the version that audiences have seen and been terrified by for six decades.
In the restored version, there is additional footage of the knife rising and falling and (offscreen) stabbing away at the hapless private detective.
Here is the problem: Arbogast falls to the floor. "Mrs. Bates" is on top of him, and the knife rises and falls - once, twice, and three times. In this restored version, Arbogast's screams come at the third stab.
Huh?
With this restored version, audiences are left to think that Mrs. Bates missed stabbing Arbogast on the first or second tries, or that the stabs did not hurt until the third try.
A classic of the magnitude of "Psycho" deserves nothing less than the most meticulous care when restoration or added footage - even if only a few seconds - are placed.
Off base. Please, Universal, fix this issue for the next pressings.

表紙カバー等もけちっていますね。最近は、半額になっているようです。
北米版は、値段も手ごろで、シンプル、かっこいい、シブいです。

Having just reviewed an advance copy of the disc let me tell you what you are missing:
The truth is...... not much! It amounts to an extra 13 seconds from 3 scenes (so far as I could tell).
a) The scene as Marion Crane disrobes before her shower is very slightly longer as the shot now includes her removing her bra. Don't get too excited, we don't see anything naughty (unfortunately!)
b) After the murder there is a prolonged shot of Norman Bates' hands covered in blood.
c) Arbogast's murder is a couple of seconds longer, with extra knife shots.
And that's it!
Not sure if it's really worth the £15* (*current asking price RRP) if you are looking for a mere upgrade from your current disc, but if you are a fan and a completist then yes, go for it.
