Very Freud and Clinical Psychology heavy, but the reader should keep in mind this was written in 1976. If nothing else, it is fascinating how the author went to school at night, earned his PhD and started Psychological/Medical Services and Hostage Negotiations for NYPD. I'm not sure the author would agree with everything he wrote when this book was published today, but if you keep that perspective it is a very good read.
