Lehmiller (Ph.D., Purdue University) is a Research Fellow at The Kinsey Institute and author of the book Tell Me What You Want: The Science of Sexual Desire and How It Can Help You Improve Your Sex Life. He is an award winning educator, having been honored three times with the Certificate of Teaching Excellence from Harvard University, where he taught for several years. I don't normally write reviews for my textbooks but this book was the exception. It approaches human sexuality and sexual education in an in depth, easily understood way. The author did a great job presenting the information. Too often textbooks are dry and hard to make yourself read through, this one almost makes you feel like you're having a conversation with the author. Read through the whole thing, learned a lot, and would recommend this book in a heartbeat. Whether you're buying it for a class, trying to decide whether or not to use this book to teach your class, or are just interested in the subject matter and don't mind a textbook read, this is the one.

This book is incredibly inaccurate. A lot of what he writes is just wrong, from small easy to fix errors (like using transgendered instead of transgender) to huge glaring mistakes (like most of his work with any identity but heterosexual). DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK. He knows as much about human sexuality as a tomato does.
