Here are the varied reasons why I love Lili Valente books...Wanda the pig...Mr. Prickly Pants...killer mermaids...squirrely brain...magical unicorn (part of the male anatomy)...phobia names that no one else would know. <3
"God I f***ing miss f***ing."
"...a night to pretend I still believe there are a few princes left in a world full of jokers, liars, and thieves."
"Now shut up and come for me, psycho." "You're psycho."
"All of us deserve to be loved. Especially lovely little weirdos like you."
You will absolutely fall in love with Tanner and Diana. Diana is a little broken Beach Pixie and Tanner is just the guy to fix her up. And the words of wisdom out of the mouths of babes may be one of my favorite parts - right before the starring role of Mr. Prickly Pants.
This series is one not to be missed!! It has so much heart, humor, great pets, and even better nicknames.
One of Lili's finest which is saying alot!!!!!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
This is the third book in the Bad Motherpuckers series and can be read as a stand-alone.
The Portland Badgers are a professional hockey team that this series is set around. Tanner Nowicki is a rookie on the team. He has just gotten through with his first season full of hazing and practical jokes. He needs to be on his game to find a place on the team. He’s “in possession of an encouraging, thoughtful, magical personality…” Diana Daniels is the Captain’s little sister, a photographer, and a girl with a wicked sense of humor. She is a self-described “walking talking, disaster-inclined proof of Murphy’s law (who) learned to roll with the punches and get back on my feet without wasting time and feeling sorry for myself.”
Diana and Tanner meet one night while she is trying to save him from killer mermaids.
This story is my favorite so far. It’s full of humor, heart, sexy times and a pet pig named Wanda. “She isn’t a fan of other women. But once she understands that you and I are just friends, she should settle down… The ladies love me, Diana. It’s my cross to bear”.
I highly recommend this entire series.
Tanner was so kind, patient, and not so patiently waiting for Diana to figure out he's not like the guys she's dated before. it doesn't help that Tanner and Diana's brother, Brendan (previous book in this series) are teammates on the Badger's NHL team. I love this team of swoony hotties Lili Valente has created.
You get to see what the gang from the series are up to, and you get a peek of the next story coming up.
The story is sweet and steamy. Diana is insecure but not annoying. Tanner is adorably earnest and sweet. Wonderful story with Lili Valente's trademark humor. Loved it.
This book was so much fun. I literally laughed out loud on so many parts. The relationship between Tanner and Diana is so fun, honest and heartwarming. They get each other. Their love explores many obstacles in their relationship, especially Diana's insecurities with falling in love. I love how they brought out the best of each other. From Tanner seeing the true Diana and respecting her talent and career from Diana helping him overcome his fear of mannequins.
Lili Valente's style of writing is amazing. It is intriguing, catching and humerous. I can't wait for Amanda and Petrov's story.
