How to Put On

1. Loosen all straps and unclip both buckles before putting on the harness for ease and comfort. The handle should be in the back, not the front.

2. Place the harness on the back and adjust the length of the straps so that it fits snug.

3. Clip the lower chest and upper chest buckle and then adjust the straps again for extra security. Make sure there is enough room to slide 2 fingers between the strap and your dog to prevent overtightening.

4. Clip the leash onto the D-ring and check to make sure no straps are loose and that the harness is secure before going out.

This harness works wonders! I have a 100+ lb yellow lab and he's well trained...except when it comes to walking on a leash. I normally have to use a prong collar to keep him from pulling me all over the place. I've tried other harnesses before, but none of them worked to hold him. This harness is perfect. I like that the straps are thick so I don't feel like it's going to cut him. It's also so easy to get on and off. I definitely recommend this for a large dog that pulls the leash.

This harness is amazing. I bought it for my 120lb great dane after she was able to get out of her collar and run away from me. This is a sturdy harness, and the handle is great for keeping her from jumping or getting too excited. I would recommend this harness and would buy it again. It does not cinch down on her chest, but it still is able to keep her in control. The metal D ring on the back was important to me as my last had a plastic one that broke. Great Control and Comfort for Big Doggos

We bought this harness for our 130 lb catahoula/coonhound mix. He is very strong and large chested, and we weren't able to find a harness that fit at local pet stores.

This harness is perfect. It fits him comfortably, and it's well made and durable. The buckles are very large and strong. I feel confident that it will hold despite his strength. The built in handle sits below his shoulder blades and I don't really use it when walking him on a leash, but it's nice to hold that if we stop to let strangers greet him or if I feel that I need a little tighter control (ducks at the lake are his weakness). The harness itself is a bit heavy, so it might be too much for a smaller dog, but it's not a big deal for a large or giant breed. I would highly recommend this for large breeds.

Fits a Great Dane

Our 1 year old Great Dane outgrew his last harness, and I researched many replacement harnesses. I decided to try this one. I was hesitant to buy this harness since it doesn't have a front ring on the chest, which helps with pulling. I bought the XL size and our Dane weighs about 165 lbs. The chest strap is a little loose on the smallest setting, but the torso strap fit well. I like that the torso strap sits behind the legs instead of right under the legs, which usually causes irritation. The harness is very easy to take on and off. I've also used the handle on many occassions. I've been using the harness for about 2 months, and so far it has held up to our Dane pulling and lunging. My only comment is that when the buckles "click" together, it's pretty loud and scared our Dane for the first week until he got used to it.

We have a GS/Lab mix and we believe she is the runt of her litter because she's on the smaller side (medium sized weighing at 48 lbs.). We've purchased a few different harnesses at our local commercial pet stores, but none have lived up to money spent. We had issues with quality where the materials would wear or fray within a few short weeks. But our main challenge has been with sizing, so either a medium was too small, but a large was too big. She's never been the type of dog that pulls or lunges (a few Houdini moments here and there), but the point is we weren't looking to fix a behavior. We just thought a proper fitted harness style gave her the best range of motion and comfort. So after researching the different options and reviews on the site, we went with this harness. We purchased it back in March and waited purposely to review it now. Here are our thoughts:
1. Sturdy! Compared to the pet store options this not only appeared stronger but weighed more than the ones at the store.
2. Sizing! We went with the large and it fit her with no issue. Straps around her middle and chest are adjustable.
3. Options: you can slip the harness on over the head or place it on the dog's back and buckle it around the shoulders and middle (we leave the shoulder clipped in and place it over her head, then buckle around her middle).
4. Other: the handle is there to provide protection to your dog or other dogs and humans. I have found it handy a few times, but in general don't really need to use it, however if you have a big dog and need more control, it is really useful.
If I HAD to find a negative, I would say the weight seems a bit much, but this points back to the quality and the buckles are big, so watch your fingers.
So far so good! Not a single frayed edge, buckles and ring are sturdy and sometimes she even naps in it and seems comfy. I would highly recommend!

Great harness but one flaw

I love this harness overall. I have a 90 lb shepherd/lab mix and he is chubby around the area behind his front legs. I find this harness adjusted well to fit and I LOVE the ease of putting on and removing this harness. No more trying to get the front legs through and buckling underneath! Slip it on over his head, snap the heavy buckle on the side and he's ready to go in seconds!! That to me is the best feature of all. It fits him well even with him being a bit on the chubby side. Buckles are super sturdy and easy to use and the wide straps provide a great deal more comfort than thinner straps do. The only issue I have had is that the strap that runs underneath loosens all the time causing the halter to slip sideways kinda like a horse saddle would do. I tighten it back up but it does continue to loosen a good bit. Not a big deal to me because he is an easy walker and doesn't really fight the halter, but if you have a dog who likes to struggle when you walk them, they may be able to get out of this harness if it won't stay tightened. In fact, my dog did manage to bend his elbow and pull his leg out of the harness once and it came off. Since then, I have made sure to keep it tightened but it is something I have to do pretty frequently. Other than that, I do believe it is the easiest, most comfortable harness out there that I have seen. Problem could be him being heavy as he is, but the harness still should not loosen up regardless. Price is very reasonable and affordable too for a large harness.

I got this harness for my two mastiff mutts. One is about 120lb and the other about 100lbs, both built extremely different. My rescues (100lb) has a very big chest but she's also very slim and athletic so I got her a size L which fits perfectly, very comfortable for her she's also very fear aggressive so the handle on the back helps tremendously when I need to calm her down and get her attention. However, this harness does not help with her pulling issue. MY 120lb other mastiff/presa canario is not a puller and this harness gives her such a beautiful tactical look and most important it does not rub off on her skin and irritate her which was my main concern because she's a lot thicker than her sister. Material is great, very nice and reflective and has padding on the inside.
Just watch for your fingers when buckling because the buckle is very sturdy (which is a great thing) and they also put a sticker on the buckle to remind you of this ! 9/10
