Whether it is caused by nature or a madman, losing power for an extended period of time is a dire threat to Americans.
The book is an easy read, once I began I couldn't stop until I was finished. Then, I was stunned silent and speechless about the implications of the possibilities of losing our power grid. As someone who is very familiar with America's supply chain and the fragility of it, the implications spelled out in the book are downright scary. The author does not exagerate, he stays grounded in fact and reality. Throughout the book he builds the facts so that each layer brings the reader closer to his point of view.

I was spellbound and glued to this book. It was compelling and read like a suspenseful mystery, a thriller, yet was solid and authenticated. The author makes this chilling possibility believable and touches the reader on a personal level.
