My only complaint about the book is that some of the charts are difficult to read on the kindle format. Not the author's fault, but my insulin pump (Tandem TSlim) and CGM (Dexcom G4) were released after this edition was published.
I should note, I'm kind of a DM-1 nerd and I might be a little biased. I hope you like it too! I'm so far into DM that I can't wait to read it again!
This book introduced me to all the important related topics like basal vs. bolus and how to know which one needs to be changed, bolus on board, whether to stop a pump when low, all about CGMs, detailed info on ketones and DKA like how to avoid and treat it, specific instructions for starting the pump like when to stop your long-acting insulin.
I highly recommend this book to anyone considering or using a pump. Even diabetics (or care-givers) who will not be using a pump can benefit.
There are many great charts and visuals in the book too.
