This book is simply a great resource. It does not promise some magic quick fix
Instead, it gives real and practical advice and a number of strategies so I can mix and match to find what actually works for me.
From nutrition, to specific exercises (with diagrams) and an overview of various fitness classes the can be added to the mix from crossfit to soul cycle to hot yoga.
The book is genuinely funny which made it an easy read. The chapters are a good length giving details a clear point, funny anecdotes or stories and clear checklist of main points on the end.
I would definitely recommend this to someone wanting to really make a lifestyle change and get healthy. This is not the book to have a miracle ten pounds in ten days type of thing, but instead helps with options to make choices to change for the long run in a fun enjoyable read.
As a group fitness instructor, I work my bootcamp crew to the max, assuring that every client feels their absolute best. My greatest challenge each class is keeping everyone happy. Some classes, I'll have Susie, who despises squats, Tommy, who swears he can't touch his toes, or Rob, who has a really hard time with just about everything! Ginsburg's guide taught me that almost everyone can do any exercise, if they remember a few simple rules about their form. People don't want to get hurt at the gym, but injuries are inevitable if you never check in with yourself. Similarly, a flabby figure is inevitable if you're not checking in with the foods you eat. Sounds pretty easy!
Bottom line: Reading this book will transform your workouts, your diet, and yes, your whole dang life!
