I bought these originally for acne which it does tone down my breakouts quite a lot. I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed an extreme decrease in my anxiety attacks and postpartum baby blues. I did research after the fact and there have been studies that have linked zinc deficiencies to anxiety and depression.

I started taking zinc 30 and after a month I started noticing the ridges in my nails started disappearing. Once I was done with the bottle I switched over to a liquid zinc from a different company (I was taking a lot of pill form supplements). Bad idea to switch because the liquid zinc hurt my stomach and was not the best quality. So I’m switching back to pure encapsulations zinc 30. Great quality!

I was catching constant infections and been taking 100 mg per day and now hardly get ill anymore. I was sick and then well for 3-5 days and then sick again! This was year round!! NOTE: Dr. had blood work done that revealed I was low in zinc, but never connected the two. Read that frequent infections can be due to low zinc levels

I have a son with leaky gut, therefore his pediatrician recommended this vitamin and it's been great so far. He has to have a bunch of supplements in order to reach the normal levels in his blood, avoiding to disturb his digestive system more. A surprising health benefit!

I have always been rather health conscious and try to find affordable health products to help me, as I age. When the pandemic came into my lives, I read up on various supplements that might help me to boost my own immune system. One of those suggested was zinc. I started off with 15 mg. of the Pure Encapsulations and didn't think much about it.

Now, to backtrack, I've been dealing with mild hypertension for about ten years. None of the doctors could explain why I had high blood pressure as my diet and exercise regime should have keep my readings in the normal range. Because I don't want to take prescribed medication, I take my readings every morning and noticed my readings were dropping. I then did some research on zinc and learned that females sometimes have a zinc deficiency and that can head to high blood pressure. The article i read said not to go above 45 mg. So, I started taking 15 mg. in the morning and 15 mg., continuing to eat healthy and exercise. My BP readings are now in the 118/68 to 123/70 range. Consistently. I decided to buy the 30 mg. tablets and continue to track my blood pressure.

I do not know if this will work for any other woman and I urge you to speak with your health professional, especially if you are on blood pressure medication. I don't take any medication and this regime works for me. I am very happy with this product, amazon ships it to me fast and Pure Encapsulations has a good reputation.

I pay for the supplement and have not received any form of product or anything else for this recommendation. In addition to the lower blood pressure, I do seem healthier overall. No sniffles, colds or any other illness like that this winter. I am eventually decrease back down to the 15 mg. dose, but for now I am very happy with the 30 mg. and my overall health.
