I used this cheesecloth to strain cheese for a dessert and the cloth left little strands all inside the cheese. It was horrible!!!! Look at one of the larger strands hanging off the whisk

I use this stuff for a kinds of things in my kitchen. Making homemade stock I use it to strain the vegetables to get every bit of delicious juice out. Making large pitches of tea, I use it to hold the Lipton loose leaf together so it's not full of silt. There's been a few times my strainer has slits too wide for something I need to rinse, and I just lay a square inside the bowl then rinse away. And every piece that's used I wash in the sink and let air dry and then use again. I do try to use the same cloth for the same job (stock cloth for stock, tea cloth for tea, etc) and use labeled bags to keep them separate. I've also used it to make cheese broth (YUM) so I don't ruin a pot with melted cheese rind, and to strain off extra juice from some fruit leather I was making. Eventually, I might actually use it to make some cheese. We'll have to wait and see. Seriously good product for a great price!

Works perfect for brewing my homemade kombucha. I opted to buy this over certified organic cheesecloth because it's not coming into direct contact with food (just using it as a cover on my brewing vessel)....I just wanted it to be unbleached. The mesh is fairly tight and uniform....great product. Thanks Pure Acres!

Cheesecloth - 45 Sq Feet: Grade 50 - 100% Unbleached Cotton - Filter, Strain, Nut Milk Bag, Reusable
Amazon displays this as 45 sq. ft. however, once you click to order, the quantity displays as 2 sq. I caught this immediately upon receiving my emailed order confirmation and contacted the seller to verify quantity. I received a response email of gibberish without any acknowledgement of my request to verify quantity. Sure enough, I received 2 sq. yards (18 sq. ft) for $6.99 when I thought I was ordering 45 sq. ft. for $6.99. I pay $3.99 for the same amount in my local grocery store. I see another reviewer complained of this same issue back in November of 2014!! This is a fraudulent practice that Amazon needs to correct ASAP!

Received today just in time so I can finally start filtering my own nut milks I just started making!! So good being able to be so pure and simple through and through, this cheesecloth is DIVINE. I took it straight to my husband and said 'look how beautiful this looks and feel it - its like living in a previous century' the beautiful unbleached all natural cotton is one of a kind at an unbeatable deal. I cut off a large piece and put it in a cooking pan then poured my nut milk in in 2 parts over it - lifting the edges and squeezing out all 'milk' from the blended soaked almonds. I rinsed out the remaining almond meal from the cloth after and have left the used cheesecloth hanging to dry. The quality is so exceptional, the feel is so soft and exquisite - really, this might sounds ridiculous because we're talking about cheesecloth here - but it gave me such a deep pleasure to use!! THANK YOU Pure Acres Farm!!

This is my first cheesecloth. I'm happy with the product and when the time comes to order another, I will order it again and from the same company. I make vegan nut cheeses and have been using a cotton drying towel, which I don't recommend because enough moisture doesn't escape (duh). When using this cheesecloth there is a pool of water at the bottom of the bowl. Ahh, so nice to have the right tool for the job. It's large enough to cut into pieces so I can strain and ferment multiple cheeses at one time.

I am so very glad that I found this cheesecloth ! ! ! I've been using "store-bought" for years not knowing that there was a QUALITY cheesecloth available. So many times I've had to resort to using my flour-sack dish towels to strain my jelly, now I don't have to, this cheesecloth does the trick ! ! If handled with care and respect it can be hand washed and reused many times over. I just finished straining my homemade Limoncello (which contains a large amount of very fine lemon zest) and this cheesecloth caught every bit of the particulates!! My Limoncello is clear as can be with only one time through the cheesecloth! Gotta love that! I'm sure this will come in handy for a long time to come. It will get it's next work-out when the summer fruit is ripe. Great product, well worth the price!

I use the cheesecloth for watercolor painting. It's a technique to achieve a certain texture and this cloth worked really well.

I purchased the Cheesecloth for use with my incubator. I needed a lightweight, yet sturdy cloth to place on top of the incubator wire mesh just before "lock down", prior to when the eggs hatched. Previously I had placed cotton "rags" but the rags absorbed and held the moisture so the hatched chicks could not dry once hatched. Yesterday was hatch day. The cheesecloth worked perfect, protecting the chicks feet from the wire mesh, but also allowing moisture to pass through to the floor underneath so that the chicks could dry. This cheesecloth certainly served my purpose well.

It is a decent item to make cold brewed coffee with. A lot of recipes will tell you to stack laryers of cheese cloth when making cold brewed coffee. I know by experience, that is very hard to do with this. Most of my recipes wouldn't pour through more than one layer of these and usually ended up in me making a huge mess. I have found more uses for cheese cloth than I could have imagined when I bought it. I have never had experience using cheese cloth before this, but really liked this product. It has a very silky feeling, but feels rugged enough to last multiple uses (and has lasted multiple uses).
