Fraudulent product

This product was altered and not an official Pureology product. As soon as I started using it my head was itching. It took me awhile to realize. I finally went to Ulta and bought the product in person. In comparing the Amazon purchase with the Ulta purchase the fragrance was different. As soon as I started using the new product the itching stopped. I had to throw away the Amazon product - which pained me given how pricey Pureology is. I find it unacceptable that Amazon doesn’t require legitimate products. Consumers are getting swindled. I will no longer buy hair products or make up on Amazon (2 of the most fraudulent products sold).

I recently dyed my hair pink, and these fashion colors are notorious for fading very quickly. I thought I would try this shampoo as a way of helping maintain the color longer. Big mistake! It not only did not hold the color in any better than my old shampoo (I watched it wash down the drain as I shampooed), for some reason it turned my normally smooth hair into a dry, tangled mess! Even in the shower I could feel it becoming sticky and tangled. I had to apply massive amounts of hair conditioner in order to get my hair back to normal and blow it out. I used this Pureology shampoo only once and then tossed it. I can’t imagine who this works for, since I have fairly healthy but slightly dry, thick hair - exactly who it’s advertised for! Save your money, this one’s a flop.

Made my hair fall out

First, some background: I am a female, 22, and I started buying professional shampoo after experiencing hormonal changes and living in an area of China with very polluted water and air caused my hair to dramatically change structure, fall out, and be so brittle that I could not brush it or it would break and fall out in pieces. I bought this product along with the corresponding conditioner upon recommendation from my hairstylist, and at first I thought it was a miracle, because it made my hair so soft and sleek. I was so excited, and spent $60 bucks on more of it after I used my first order. However- around the 6 month mark, I noticed my scalp was flaking more than usual. I chalked it up to winter weather, and ignored it - until I started noticing scabby patches appearing under my hair. I could not understand what was causing it, and tried discontinuing leave in conditioners, and changing pillowcases and diet- but nothing worked. The final straw was when my follicles started detaching: hair would drift down from my head in the middle of the day and I would see it on my shirts or in my car. It was awful- and then when I was reordering this shampoo, I noticed one of the one star reviews ALSO mentioned hair loss and dry scalp. I stopped using it and my scalp healed by the next week, and my hair loss has stopped over the last month. I switched to Garnier triple nutrition and that works way better with no irritation, and costs $7 at Target. So I would not recommend this- I spent $120 prolonging my hair recovery journey.

I love this product and have been using the shampoo and conditioner for many years...even though this is very pricey. But the new ones I ordered came with a new cap that is truly awful. Very hard to open, nail breaking hard - especially when you are in the shower and your hands might be soapy. Also could you make the shampoo and conditioner a little easier to distinguish? I may have to try another brand, guess I will save money and be less frustrated. Sorry Pureology you needed some customer testing on this one.

I treat myself to both the shampoo and conditioner. I love the way it makes my hair feel. I color my hair and have for decades. This smooths my hair and helps my scalp immensely. There is peppermint in the conditioner and some may not like the tingle, bu t that's my favorite part. My hair feels great and smells wonderful. Well worth the money to me. Note: if your spending money on this, buy yourself a decent pump. These bottles are too big to hold in the shower and very hard to squeeze the product out. Amazon sells good quality pumps that fit these bottles perfectly.

I absolutely fried my hair by trying to bleach it at home (4 times so far.. ) and dying it (3 times so far) but just a couple weeks of using this shampoo and conditioner, it was soft and shiny again. Not my favorite smell ever, but I got used to it. The benefits outweigh the minty smell.

If I could give this product less than one star, I would. It made my hair fall out in huge amounts. I used this shampoo and conditioner years ago, but I had bought it through my salon. I have no issues with it and loved it so I was glad to have found it on Amazon. Don’t buy this. My brush would be full of hair after just a normal brushing. Clumps and clumps of my hair would just fall out at any point during the day. Do not buy this product. Hopefully my hair will grow back eventually.

Complete fake do not order. The bottle is wrong colour the shampoo doesn’t smell as it should and it’s not a nice smell. Also all purelogy products are sealed and this bottle wasn’t. Obviously didn’t want to spend that extra to make it look more real. Very disappointed will not order from this supplier again

This shampoo is not the same as previous ones that I have purchased -it lathers up creating an abundance of suds and leaves the hair with a greasy coating. Two days later my hair is greasy and needs washing again. This shampoo is not the usually recipe, something has changed and it is not worth the money. I have my doubts that it is not genuine.

I love the way my hair feel after using the strength cure shampoo and conditioner and also the hydrating shampoo and conditioner, although I don’t really like the scent of the hydrate shampoo and the conditioner is like a minty smell and feel, I don’t like that feeling on my hair or body so I don’t know if I would repurchase the conditioner, the shampoo I would repurchase, but will definitely be repurchasing the strength cure I love it.

While this is a great shampoo my issue was that it has isopropyl alcohol and protein in the ingredients. I knew about the i.a. but didn’t realise it had protein too, it completely dried out and tangled my hair and to be honest it didn’t wash my scalp well either.
