There was absolutely NO Pureology Hydrate tingle whatsoever.
The next day, my husband went to the salon and got the real thing, which was SEALED in a bottle. This Amazon purchase was not even sealed! Sure enough- Pureology Hydrate tingle was there and the shampoo and conditioner were BOTH different colors than the product I received.
I've never spent this much on a shampoo and conditioner until I started using Pureology Hydrate, but this combo really does work to leave your hair silky soft and to keep the color vivid and vibrant. The way I justify the cost is that I honestly can go much longer between color appointments at the salon. I used to have to get my highlights and overall color done every eight weeks since it would really fade when I used other products, but now my stylist only has to do root touch-ups (to hide the grays) when I go in -- and I can go every two appointments for my color.
Don't expect a lot of lather when you use the shampoo; it doesn't create a lot of suds, but it's still doing its job. I also love the mint smell of the conditioner; it provides a nice tingle on your scalp when you use it.
The other big plus is that this really does make your hair feel healthy and soft. I use a flat iron almost every day (really, really bad -- I know!), but, since I've started using this, my hair doesn't have the split ends and damage that it used to. It feels soft and looks shiny. I also use CHI Silk Infusion before blowing my hair dry, and the combo has made my hair look the best that it ever has.
I wanted to try the "straight" versions of Pureology's shampoo and conditioner, but have read reviews that say that they don't make your hair as healthy as the Hydrate versions do, so I'm sticking to these.Read more ›

In reality this is what is printed on the back of the bottle:
water, sodium cocoyl isethinoate, sodium laury sulfoacetate, disodium laureth sulfusuccinate, sodium laruly sarcosinate, cocoamidopropyl betaine, glycol disterate, clycereth-26, decyl glucoside, and on and on and on........
the list goes o and on, hundreds of chemical ingredients, color and synthetic "parfum" I will attach a pic with the list, because it will take too long to type all the hundreds of chemical ingredients.
This description is sooo misleading, this is not in any form a natural product.
It also dried out my scalp and made it itchy afterwards and gave me a rash on my chest and body. I am going back to my cheaper Nature's gate shampoo that makes my hair clean with no synthetic perfumes, no rashes, no chemicals and no $40 flakes.
Update....., so I am more vain then I thought I was and even though this shampoo is full of chemicals and does cause a mild rash off and on, the other scalp issues are not soo bad, and somewhat diminished. I really did not want to throw the $40 shampoo down the trash, so kept giving it more tries. My hair is pretty darn silky.
Overall not a bad shampoo , but definitely not so " pure". I would like to attaché a pic of the ingredients, if I can figure out how to do so....
Oh, btw this company was bought out, hence why it use to rock, and now cheaper ingredients are being used.

This should absolutely NOT be in the sulfate and paraben FREE section of Amazon. I was extremely disappointed when I read the ingredients once the product had arrived. Read morePublished 11 days ago by Angel Field
