Purex Sta-Flo Liquid Starch
Give your clothes a crisp, long-lasting edge.
Purex Sta-Flo concentrated liquid starch has been keeping America’s clothing looking clean, fresh and ready to stand at attention for decades.
Purex Sta-Flo liquid laundry starch is a long-time product used to provide body and stiffness to natural fibers in your clothes after washing. And, since it is formulated to make clothes wrinkle-resistant, Sta-Flo helps the iron glide faster and more easily giving your clothes and linen a professional finish.
It’s great for blue jeans, uniforms, work shirts and can even be used in various craft projects. Make sure to check out our Pinterest board for a few crafting ideas.
A Pure Beginning
Like many great beginnings, Purex began in a garage…
Starting in the family garage, father and son cleaning team, Lionel & Roy used a homegrown recipe to create a pure bleach product packaged in amber pint jars to sell at a non-inflated 15 cents each. It was 1922, and a jar of bleach would typically cost 25 cents. But, Lionel and Roy were determined to provide their quality product to pass savings back to American families. Their homegrown liquid bleach soon found success and was dubbed Purex due to its clear, pure qualities and ability to make the household clean and healthy. Over the years the family worked to expand Purex with a focus on creating useful, everyday need inspired products offered at a non-inflated cost because of their commitment to providing a savings. Quality products has kept Purex in homes across America, throughout the Great Depression to present, as a quality clean that everyone can afford. Now part of the Henkel family, Purex has not lost sight of who we are: our innovative approach to providing a smart value, commitment to quality and passion for creating awesome laundry supplies still shapes all that is Purex.

Mix 1/3 cup glue and 1/3 cup water well
Add colorant (food coloring is normally used, I make soap so I used some micas), glitter or anything special at this point (I also used FOs at this point)
Mix 1/3 cup liquid starch, once the slime starts to pull together you will need to use your hands to mix it. The more you play with it the better the consistency becomes. It takes about 10 minutes to get it all mixed together.
Colorations Washable Clear Glue, Gallon (Item # NGL)
Ideally this would be used with fabric or a porous wallpaper - non pasted. We just used traditional wallpaper. It was a trial to get it on and parts fell down the next morning - we removed the entire wall (no residue and so easy to remove).
Tips: lots of liquid starch, more than you think you need, and a good roller. Work in small sections (2 feet at a time) and have two people, working quickly.
