LM. Preston was born in Washington, DC. She loved to create poetry and short-stories as a young girl. A Techie and Educator for over sixteen years, she started writing science fiction under the encouragement of her husband who was a Sci-Fi buff and her four kids. He meets Angel, who appears to be a boy on the run. She really isn't. Angels parents were murdered and they are both descendants of the order. Later they find Kyle's, who saves Peter's life. They travel together and Kyle finds out Angel is a girl. They are all running from an evil they don't understand.
Gavin is the head of the evil organization and they have been kidnapping and draining children for years. They want Kyle, Angel but most of all...they want Peter.
This is a book for youngsters. The language is mildly gangsta style, but, it's interesting.
Read on my friends.
Peter Saint has had a rough life. His parents were murdered right in front of him and then he holds a person in his arms as they die. What more could get worse for him? Peter now lives in an Orphanage and his adopted father protects him from all the evil that is lurking in the world that wants to destroy him. But Peter is no saint because he sneaks out of the orphanage every night and on one of those nights he watches as a girl gets hit by a car and she leaves him with something. Not sure what to do he goes back to the orphanage and tells his adoptive father. They decide that Peter and his side kick Angel whom he picked up on one of his trips will go to another sanctuary to stay safe.
If things could not get any worse Peter keeps having these night visions of things that are evil and trying to get to him. He is not sure what to make of them but the longer he is on the run the more the visions get descriptive for him. The evil wants him for something very special but Peter is not going to give the evil what they want. On the run with Angel Peter starts to piece together what is happening and he is not going to give the evil what it wants. He is determined that they will have to kill him before he unleashes that kind of evil into the world.
Peter knows that his time is ticking down but after unraveling every thing he has to make a decision that will not only effect him but his love he is a little nervous. Peter knows the wrong decision could mean life or death for a lot of people. What will Peter do? Who will he chose?
I wasn't sure this was going to be something I enjoyed or not. I was shocked at how incredible it was! Peter has been living in an orphange for several years after the death of his parents and to say that he is not thrilled would be an understatement. When he accidently causes the death of Hanna, it sets off a chain reaction that brings forth elements of a world he doesn't understand. People are willing to die so he can run and he is being told that he is the answer. I don't think that was explained as well as it could have been.
This is a story that delves into the darkness that surrounds us all and shows us that not everyone and everything is what they seem. It was a little slow in some places and yet I was compelled to continue reading. I was a little lost when Angel was introduced until I realized the relationship was more than it seemed. I have a feeling that Kyle is a force to be reckoned with and there may be more to him.
I will be waiting for the next book in this series. I got to the end and was hungry for more now that Peter is coming into his own.

This book is an adventure packed action book!!You will learn along with the characters of what is going on. It is a book that left me on the edge of my seat throughout it. I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF THIS BOOK!! I adored the character interactions especially between Kyle and Peter, they were funny. I'm excited to find out who else will join their merry crew!! The story is wonderful and it flows at a fast pace with little down moments to help you catch your breathe. This is the second book I read by this author and I'm intrigued and anxious waiting on the next book in this awesome series. I just hope it gets here soon!! He becomes submerged in this world he has no idea existed and to keep from drowning in danger he has to embrace the unknown. Along the quest, he runs into other members of the order that run with him to keep from winding up DEAD!! Who is after them? What is the Order of Grace that everyone is talking about?
