I’ll never open another dog food bag without thinking about it.

When dog food arrives inspect the contents! Unfortunately this purina product had some kind of worm or maggot included in this bag. I spotted something odd upon opening the bag. It appeared to be almost like thread. I didn’t think much about it at the time. Until I noticed something white in the dog dish. Closer look I discovered the insects, worms 🐛 were numerous and the thread like substance I saw was coming from them. Like spider webbing. Contacted purina and I was told that it couldn’t possibly be from the manufacturing plant. They blamed it on storage environment. But my guess is, because now that I’ve read many similar reviews. And the bags are pretty tough, so I doubt bugs were able to penetrate it. That these bugs did in my opinion get in during the processing. I’ll never open another dog food bag without thinking about it.

I have NO IDEA what the heck happened. This is our go to food the only one our 4 dogs will eat. I don’t know if it was an amazon problem or a Purina problem. He had the grossest stuff attached to the food at first I thought it was skin like that off of a Cooked turkey.... but no it was a stingy like substance like silly string. I threw the whole bag out. No issues with digestion either, and the ingredients are really good compared to some other popular brands.
This is the best dog food I can order online without paying shipping, it's great if you're on a budget and can't get to a physical store. I'll definitely be continuing to purchase.

The new formula(?) is fantastic, my girls are very picky and normally go on a hunger strike if they get kibble without any "add-ins" like tuna, etc. but this new stuff they eat right out of the bag! The meat-like chunks in with the kibble is enough to please them.By Lizzie on July 10, 2018
