I used the orange brand of filter exclusively for years believing that because it was the best selling filter, it must be the best! My opinion changed when I read an article comparing the amount of filter material and internal construction of the major brands and the orange filter came in at the bottom, while Purolator was one of the better filters tested. That's a pretty big difference considering they are priced nearly the same. Changing to Purolator also eliminated an issue I was having, namely that the oil pressure on my Dodge Dakota would drop at about the 2,000 mile point with the orange filter, indicating that it was plugging up. With the Purolator, no oil pressure drop. Highly recommended.

Installed on my 1997 Nissan pickup with a 2.4 liter gas engine, it claims to filter better then Fram that is why i bought it,does it? I don't know nor can I afford to do a scientific test to check. it screws on and has a gasket and white paint it seems to work..

This is another example of good buying on Amazon. This fits an odd piece of equipment and it shipped right away and was the right part for us. Glad to have it so soon and we'll be back!

I do prefer these to Fram filters.

Purolator makes good filters. They do well on the old Perkins diesel.

What more is there to say?
